Has anyone used Mexico Bariatric Center ?
frostypaws41 posted a topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I have been speaking with a gal named Regine Ison, ( she is in the Philippines, which I don't feel great about ) about the Gastric Sleeve. These doctors are : Dr. Arturo Cazarez , Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela , and Dr. Ishmael Caberera. They are having a summer special for two doctors at 4300. I have not seen anything on this site so far, are there any people who have used them ? Please let me know, thank you. -
Fantastic. God is good. You will do great ! Congrat's!

Hi there, I am a week post-op as of yesterday. Two days after, I was walking around fine, now I feel so tired and week. I haven't been able to drink much of the diet, just getting Water in has been tough. Today I had about 1/4 of a Protein drink. I thought I would finish it before now, but I can't. I am sipping on some delicious low cal juice (15cals) with a straw. The straw seems to help me more with little sips. Before the surgery, I was trying to walk 30to 45 minutes with my dog at least 4 times a week. I can't even get out there for ten, is this normal?

A spiritual friends thoughts
frostypaws41 replied to Bemabound's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi there, I really enjoyed reading everyone's responses, excellent points indeed. I am just 8 days out post-op and got some flak, ( family ) because I "Only" had 60 lbs to loose. Well for me, it might has well been a couple of hundred, because that is how I felt. Miserable. I prayed about it, and different people came into my life along the way. And I feel like God gave me the right direction through them, total strangers. Sometimes the people who are closest to us, friends, family, co-worker's, and they mean well granted, but think they know what the right thing is for us. However, they don't walk in your shoes and they can't tell you what your relationship and faith with The Lord should be. I say if you continue to pray about it , and everything is a green light, do it. If it is not meant to be, God will let you know, with a roadblock of some kind. You will know the right thing to do. Just keep your heart with Jesus, he left us his Holy Spirit to guide us. Thank you for sharing and your honesty. -
Fecal Impaction... tmi... HELP!
frostypaws41 replied to CouchToHealthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a week out post-op as of yesterday. I had problems before, now it's worse. I have probably not had a B.M. In at least 8to 9 days. I don't feel weird though. I have taken stool softness, vegetable laxative, and tonight I bought Milk of Magnesia, which I can not stand. I forgot that I can't Chug it down, so I only got in about about 2 teaspoons. I have had a difficult time getting much done at all food wise. I am still on liquids and trying to retrain myself to take tiny sips is going to be a long process. My boyfriend told me to get straws, I just got back from Wally World with those, more gas strips, and more sugar free drinks. I am not going to worry about it, but I have probably only got in about 300 calories a day, if that. How long did it take everyone before you could swallow more without a big bubble ? -
Hi there, I am a Christian and I live in the Bay Area of California . I am going to Mexico tomorrow with my boyfriend to have the surgery. I am getting flack from my older sister about the surgery ( she has a friend who had the lap band and it has gone bad) and I don't dare tell her I am having it done in Mexico. I would like prayer to guide the surgeons hands and that there won't be any complications. His name is Dr, Illian, he comes highly recommended. I am having it Friday. Thank you and God bless ! I would love to hear more about your post-op experiences. All the best, Lisa Marie Smith

I will be there on the 15 th too. Are you alone or with someone? -
So, I am 52 yrs old and I need to loose 50 lbs. surgery is scheduled for Aug 16th. I finally busted out and told my oldest sister, (R.N.) who is flipping out. She said she went on line to all the "cons" and talked about the dumping syndrome, and her friend who had the lap band who has to bring a change of clothes with her everywhere. ( do to pooping uncontrollably ) her friend is even heavier than before. Is there anyone out there who went from the lap band to the sleeve that can tell me the difference in your experiences ? My sister doesn't even know I am going to Mexico, she assumes I am doing it locally. I am single, my boyfriend is going with me, he isn't crazy about it but is going. Our parents are passed, so I know she is just being a big sister who is a nurse. Thoughts please?

Questions about Mexico
frostypaws41 replied to NewAshes's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hey Kat in FL., Thank you so much ! Your Dr. Illan has approved me for surgery even though I had the surgery when I was 12 with my pancreas wrapped around my duodenum . Plus he is only charging me $3,999. How great is that ? Dr. Venezuela wanted to charge me an extra $1,500. And then she said she wasn't sure it would work. Only 70% chance of going ahead with it once she opened me up. So glad I was told about this forum. I would love to hear about anyone's experience's. Thank you! Lisa Marie -
So I just sent in my health report in today. When I was 12 yrs old, they discovered I was born with my pancreas wrapped around my stomach/ : google annular pancreas . I am now 51 and Dr.Valensuela said it would be considered a "revision" due to possible scar tissue . So, it would be another $1000.00 has anyone else had anything similar ? Crap, it wasn't weight loss surgery and I have never had problems since. I don't know who to try next, I really can't go above $5,000. Help, I wanted this done in July on my vacation. Thank you for your responses.
