It took about two full weeks before I made my goal consistently with shakes. Then when I started eating again it took another adjustment to keep up with protien. I am 6 1/2 weeks out and still have at least one day a week that I do not get to goal. Some days my restriction seems tighter. Dr. Says that is perfectly normal, and to use my supplements when I need them. I do know that I lose much better when I consistently reach goal. (40 pounds so far) Best of luck!

I'm from Mansfield. I was sleeved 3 weeks ago by Dr. Hodges from Barker Bariatrics. So far, all is well. Started back to work today, and am down 30 pounds!

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well. Your post came at a wonderful time.. I am sitting hear worrying about everything. I get sleeved at 8:30 a.m. tommorrow. Seriously second guessing myself! Best wishes for continued success.

You could always say that your digestive tract needed a tweak. I have asked myself the same question. I do not want to lie, but I also don't want to tell all my business.

Me too! I keep starting new cleaning projects. I have been purging all cabinets and closets. I'm glad to know I'm not alone there. I get sleeved on the 23rd. I better hurray if I'm going to get it all done.

Welcome Bonmilligan, I am from Mansfield. I am also a food addict. It is how I have celebrated, consoled, showed affection, alleviated boredom. . . For the past 48 years. I had a few food funerals before starting my pre-op liquids. I have surgery on the 23rd. I love the GNC total lean 25 protein powders. I mix them with coffee, orange juice, or milk depending on which flavor I use. I did get to sample the Bariatric Advantage vitamins. The vanilla weren't to bad. I had already bought the Centrum chewables. My kids even like them. I am currently in size 24 (again) and originally hoped to be a 10 or 12, but noe, I want to go as far as God can help me go. I will add you to my prayer list. Best wishes

I am on the 23rd also. I will be having surgery in Dallas at Doctor's. Can we make it a trio? I would love to be part of a support group!

Hi Daydra, I just found out that I will be getting sleeved a week earlier. That puts me on the 23rd! I am from Texas, near Fort Worth/Dallas. Glad to have someone to compare notes with. We are going to ROCK this!

Thank you for starting this topic. It is so nice to trade stories with others that are in the same line of work! I am a school counselor at an elementary school in Texas. They only person from work I have told is my principal. She is very supportive so far. I have my surgery scheduled for July 30th and I have to report back to work on August 14th. I am hoping to be well enough so it is not noticeable that I had surgery. Best wishes to all!

Hello! This is my first post. I just found out today that I will be sleeved on the 30th as well! I can't wait! I also live in the metroplex. We can walk (or hopefully run) this path together! I have quite a way to go but am positive about the process. Best Wishes!
