What are you eating and drinking 10-12 weeks out ?
Carissicagail posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For some reason my post from yesterday didn't go through. But, I am wondering what people near about 10 weeks out are eating and drinking on a daily basis. I feel as though my tummy is tighter than it was at the beginning of my surgery. I get full very easily even more so than before. I am stalling again and I'm pretty sure it is because I am having trouble eating a lot during the day. It seems the only time I lose is when I eat small amounts of high fat/cal food. To me that seems unhealthy seeing as other people are eating all healthy foods and losing more weight than me... So my question is can people who are 10 or more weeks out list meal by meal what they are eating everyday a long with how many hours you are waiting before your next meal ?? PLEASE ONLY PEOPLE THAT ARE 10+ WEEKS OUT THANK YOU. -

I finally broke my stall and started losing again after about a week of no movement or moving up. I found out that it was due to constipation. Hopefully this isn't another false start like it was lasttime when my weight moved and then stopped 2 days later!! I am down 39 lbs -

Thank you for your replies. These are all great ideas! I have to start planning better. In the mornings I am lucky to get down a cracker sandwich today I only got down a slice of pepperoni on my way out the door. Then the rest if the day consists of half a turkey cracker lunch able for lunch at work. And dinner is something from my college cafeteria (meat and veggie) barely even a 1/2 cup of food. And then I end up eating two small snacks before bed. A mozz stick and two butterfly shrimp usually. I have recently broken my stall and I found out it was due to constipation. I am down 39 lbs! -

I haven't been counting calories lately bc I have been eating at my colleges cafeteria so it is hard to track calories. But, during my first stall I was eating around 500 calories a day. -

Well guys I ended my stall yesterday morning when I went down .4 lbs. And today I got on the scale and dropped about 4 lbs!!!! Turns out I was eating to few calories again. This is my second stall and it seems like when I stall it is because I am not eating enough calories and spreading my meals too far apart. I am now at 269.4!!! A total loss of 38 lbs!!!!!! -

I have just ended my period. I got the shot for the first time and bled for a month straight and it just ended yesterday. So I am not sure if he has to do with the hormones. I also recently started using Miralax and my mom told me that it causes you to hold more Water in your colon so maybe that is what it is... I really hope this ends soon and that I don't go up any higher. -

Ugh I was doing so good. I was down 34lbs and now I have hit a stall and am up 2lbs. I haven't been eating anything different and I have no idea why I am up. 2lbs! This is my second stall and I am trying super hard not to get discouraged because I know this stall will pass too. But, it is aggravating to see my weight not only not move but actually go up! -

When it's real hunger you will feel weak and your stomach will growl and make loud noises. Depending on how far out you are you may not be able to feel hunger because the anesthesia keeps everything numb digestion wise for about 1-2 weeks. -
All I will say in reply to this is that bariatric surgery will never be the easy way out!!! I had so many ideas of how things would be post op when I was pre op and none of my thoughts were correct. You will never know the struggle after having a bariatric procedure until you have been through it. You haven't had the surgery so you have never struggled or failed or gotten off track. Until, you go through the surgery and make no mistakes and follow the plan to a T for the rest of your life you have no room to judge or put anyone else down.

I was tired for about a month after surgery. But, the more activity I started doing, the better I felt. Also, I only drink G2. After surgery since our caloric intake is so low every movement for us becomes exercise so I always drink G2 for it's electrolytes. And I think the 7 carbs helps give me the extra energy I need. -

ContreceptionBirth Control Getting Mirena inserted post-op and Nuva Ring and High BP meds.
Carissicagail posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Sleevers, I am 20 yo and have been using bc since I was about 17. I was first put on the Nuva ring because it was easy and you didn't have to remember anything daily. I LOVED NUVA RING!!!!!! But, when I turned 18 I was diagnosed with hypertension (High Blood Pressure) and finally had to be put on BP medications. The Nuva ring interacted negatively with my medication because it contained Estrogen. I was then prescribed a mini pill (Micronor) which i have been on ever since. I HATE IT because I have to remember to take it every day and also there is so much room for error. If you miss a pill or don't take your pill within the 3 hour window you are unprotected. I have recently thought about getting the Mirena. I have heard good things and bad things about it. However, I have not heard much about any accidental pregnancy so it obviously works. I also considered doing Paragard because it has no hormones at all. But, it has the possible side effect of heavy bleeding and cramping or so I've heard. Also, it is for 10 years and I doubt I want to wait until I am 30 to have a child. I also have seen some people that have been told to do the Nuva ring instead of the Mirena and to those people I ask, Do you have High BP and if so what medication are you on ??- 5 replies

4 Weeks Post Op: My Trials and Tribulations Lol
Carissicagail posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey Guys, I am Kari and I am 20 years old. I had my sleeve surgery on July 2, 2013. I was released from the hospital on July 4th. The first day was pretty much a blur. I was so SCHWASTED on the IV pain medications. I literally fell asleep while walking the first night after surgery. Lol The first few days were the hardest. The pain was pretty tolerable. Infact I was off my pain meds after the second day home so 4 days post op My pain was pretty much gone. The detoxing from the food was really what made the first few days hard. I had random crying spells because I missed food. I would wake up in the morning and cry because I couldn't just go to the fridge and stuff my face Like I used to. I knew I was addicted to food but, I didn't realize how bad it was until I literally couldn't eat anything. I advanced myself to solid food pretty fast. By the second week I was eating small portions of everything I used to. NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!! I hit a 2 week stall not because my body had just reached a plateau but because I was eating small portions of foods that I used to eat. I had lost 20lbs in about one week and felt like I was invincible but I wasn't. It took about a Two more weeks to get myself out of the slump I had put myself in which was kind of a waste of my time because I could've been down 30lbs by week 4. But, you live and you learn Now, it is week 4 and I have finally gotten out of the CALORIE induced stall. I am now down 23lbs!!! Yay! This journey has been hard and kind of stressful. But, it is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be and I wouldn't change it!!! -
