HI There! I'm so happy to have found this website! The first day of the rest of my life is Thursday, 6/27. I cannot wait! The decision for me was very simple. I deal with a lot of joint pain and I'm tired of being inhibited in EVERYthing I do in life. I'm like everyone else...tried it all only to gain it back again! My first appointment was 3/18/13 with Dr. Jay Salimath with Mid-Illini Surgical Assocaties in Peoria, IL. On that day, I weight in at 318#. My highest a few years ago was 338. Thank God I was able to get back to my "normal" weight between 310 - 320 for most of my adult life.
