Try vitamelts zinc it melts on your tongue. I also crush my pills even though it tastes horrible its better than being stuck. 2 years of stuck episodes with the lapband I am traumatized.

Are you taking reglan or antiacids: makes my mouth dry. -
If the doctor thinks an area might bleed they sometimes place a drain. Honestly, I woke up with the drain and it never hurt or bothered me until he took it out.

Does protein actually HELP you lose weight?
Nursebarbie replied to cmathews77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The whole theory behind the alkaline principle is protein are amino acids which make your system acidic. So of course you need them but to reach equilibrium you balance it with alkaline foods to neutralize your ph. If you have too much acids it gets stored in your fat and tissues because your body cannot circulate that much acid safely. If you neutralize each meal balancing the ph, the alkaline molecules bond with the acids molecules and you either sweat, pee, or poop them out. Hense superb weight loss. I had just started doing this a month ago during my infertility research. Google dr vassey or alkaline diet. I find it fascinating. So while I am trying to get protein in I am balancing it the best I can with alkaline foods and water. Potato soup is alkalizing. Anyone want more info private message me. -
I had a drain too and to be honest it caused a cramping sensation when he took it out. Then it was fine.

Read the alkaline diet by dr vassey. Its an alternative to such high levels of protein. Offers some great advice. My friends husband lost 300 pounds soley doing this way of life. He is now a dr of natural medicine. Worth a look. -
I bought a hawaiian shave ice maker at Target for $25. I also got 3 bottles of assorted sugar free flavorings. Omg. So good. For those of us who are still on clears or full liquid this is a Godsend. I am in heaven and my kid loves it too!

Yes it does because I have gone through so much with the lapband and to have two procedures at one time was tough. I'm hoping the sleeve will carry me the rest of the way. -
