I have heard the statement, "You only live once." And I can agree that it is 100% true. Life is short, so I believe a person should live it to its fullest and being happy and healthy is a combination for a long life. For years, I have struggle with being what I call "overweight." If you seen me from the back, you would never know that I look like I'm 9 months pregnant in the front!. Like many other Americans, I was diagnosed with hypertension (High blood pressure), which increase my chances of having a heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and even kidney failure. I also was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, which require me to use a CPAP machine when I'm sleeping. Keep in mind that I'm not even 30 yet! So after many months of the thought of weight loss surgeries, I decided in July, 2013 that I needed to make a major change to my life so that I can live a long and healthy life and see my kids have kids. My ultimate goal is not be "skinny" or have a "super-model" body, but to be healthy, so I can be productive in everyday life. Let's be real, being overweight isn't a good feeling at all, most of time you feel tired, unattractive, and just unhappy with life period! So I'm using this surgery as a "Tool" for a better and new me....
