It's hard for me to take the vitamins I have so I'm getting the gummies and chocolate calcium pills. The other vitamins are just way too big for me to take and all and I have a hard time taking them with the water. J start feeling nauseous. -
Has anyone else had trouble once going back to work? I get through the day and I just want to go to bed. I am so exhausted!

3 week out questions
stephanie.ahring0505 replied to tampa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some docs may let you. My doc told me not until 4 weeks. As far as food.. That can be tricky. So many docs haven't different instructions. Mine states mushy/soft foods. I was reading my book my doc have me and it says you can have rice, retried Beans, puréed chicken or turkey or hamburger.. Those are some ideas. Hope it helps! -
Today was very challenging for me. While being off work, my boyfriend and I decided to take this time to see the movie The Internship. We always get popcorn and a soda... I love movie popcorn. It was so hard to stay away from it.. I did, but it's still super hard to stay away from it. I'm proud of myself for the choices I've made and look forward to continue my success change here. I'm trying to get into the 100's by August! I WILL get there!!!!

I don't have my post op appt until Monday- which is when I go back to work. Luckily I work where my doctors office is- well right across the street. Potatoes were okay for me. I recently tried mushy retried Beans and those sat well. Good luck with your appt! You'll have to let me know how you do! -

Can you not eat potatoes because it doesn't sit well? I'm excited to eat a salad again after a while. It's hard not diving in to rotel and Mexican food that's here at my house and all... I miss it, but I've already lost 34 pounds so it is way worth it. And I'm 1/4 of the way to my goal weight.. Not 1/6. I'm having brain goofs! Haha -

I'm sorry you're at a standstill. Are you doing much cardio and getting in all your Protein? Maybe try eating more protein than normal and up your cardio as much as you can during the week... See if that helps?! -

So here I am, I week post op... Well, now 1 week 1 day. I feel great!! I'm so bored at home and I miss all the lovely ladies and doctors I work with. But, I also know my body needed this time to recover and get used to my new eating habits. eggs aren't tasting so great to me right now.. I'll try them again in a couple weeks. SF Jello is still too sweet for me, so I've been doing yogurt, pudding, and Popsicles. I found these delicious popsicles that are made from real fruit and have no added sugar. They are tasty. So far, including pre-op diet for two weeks I'm down 31 lbs!! THIRTY-ONE lbs!!! It is such a great feeling! My goal is to get down 120. I'm 1/6+ of the way there!! I can't believe it! I told my boyfriend of 8 years that once I get to my goal weight I want to get married and have more babies since I will know how to eat at that time. Our 6 year old has already been asking for a baby brother or sister. Ha. I just tell him I'm trying to lose weight before that. Luckily he has plenty of aunts and uncles that have or are having babies in the semi near future. I can't wait to add things into my diet like mashed potatoes and bananas and Peanut Butter. Even tortilla shells. I'm interested how my stomach will handle those. Have any of you had problems with very many foods on the mushy/puréed foods? Sorry for my rambling, but I can't sleep right now. I took a late nap with my niece after doing some light housework. Any help or guidance is much appreciated! -
Still having issue with choosing the right foods!
stephanie.ahring0505 replied to odetteNYC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm worried about this as well. However, my boyfriend eats junk food and works at Buffalo Wild Wings.. Yum!! He brought some home tonight and I was so tempted, but I'm only a week out and had to turn my head. My son, who is 6 years old, begged me to make rotel tonight for him to go with his chili... Mexican food is my downfall. I hesitantly made it while drinking my protein shake and drinking my chicken broth. I'm so afraid I'm going to give in one of these days, but I'm going to try to remember that I not only did this to myself for me, but for my son and my boyfriend. I want to be someone he LOVES to show off and I want my kiddo to look at me and see all the hard work I've done to better myself for him. I hope it gets better for you!! Just remember its not going to be worth it if you cave in to the temptations! You can't just have "one bite" of something- it will always turn into something else. -

I need to try Greek yogurt. I haven't gotten into it yet. But those definitely sound good. My problem is I'm not a fan of seafood, so lobster bisque and tuna salad don't sound good to me. However, I'm excited to eat tortilla shells next week and American cheese.. I think that'll be my lunch when I go back to work Monday. Ha. Good luck to you!!! -
