Smooth Recovery? Anyone?
amyjo2719 replied to LynRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
3 months out from being sleeved & have had no complications. I was sore in my stomach after surgery due to anesthesia, but it got better once I got up & walked around. I have not gotten sick or had any problems with any foods. Just follow the doctors orders and do this procedure for you and you will be very successful! Good luck! -

4 months out and falling off wagon

I have been struggling lately with really craving carbs and wanting more snacks..... Crunchy salty food.... I called my dietician and she got me in next day.... I am still losing but just don't want to fall into bad habits. So a good suggestion is to continue journaling your food, drink your water, measure your foods, & exercise. Always remember protein&meat/milk foods first then fruits/vegetables then starches. By the time you eat the first 2 things you should be full and will not want the starches. I have lost 40 lbs and am almost 3 months post/op. hope this helps you. Just take it day by day! -

Those are definitely some good tips! It can be so discouraging weighing yourself all the time which is why I put my scale away. It is very hard not to weigh in the mornings but I quick get dressed for gym so I won't weigh myself and move along with my morning routine! -

I have been exercising as well but one thing that I have become really strict with is journaling. Journaling helps to show you everything you are eatting and I also have put my scale away. I am struggling with the numbers on scale if I don't see the results I want. So try to journal, drink lots of water, and exercise and see how you feel in a week. Let me know if this works or helps you!
