I confess I do excercise alot I confess I drink once a week I confess at 5 months out I am desperately needing to hear that people do lose weight passed the stalls. That people succeed even if they drink once a week or have a couple pretzels. I confess that I need support from people who are close to a year out because if I wake up at 187 pounds again tomorrow I confess I might eat french toast for breakfast and not excercise at all!! -

What I try to remind myself that any normal person who ate less than evem 1500 calories and then excercised atleast 5 days a week would lose and maintain a healthy weight. And we CUT OUT OUR STOMACHES!! Easy to forget the odds are in our favor for a change! One day at a time works here too, patience sucks! -

I drink 16.9 watr bottles. So when I do my walk or bike ride I drink one. Then I have another when I take my vitamins. Then my 3rd is almost always a crystal light. I babysit my 4th all afternoon and have a 5th for bed. 5 bottles @ 16.9= 84.5 -

@kohe I was sleeved on 5/21. SW 237.7 down from 253.4. Current weight 185. I hit a serious nearly 6 week stall where I was 191 for what seemed lile forever. What I did find though was that my August weighin was 196 and my September weighin was 191.4 and then October was finally 195. For me I would drop and then rise back up a pound or 2. I don't really consider this "gaining weight" because I am losing. And even though I had those six weeks at 191 technically I did drop at the 1 month mark. And had I not been an obsessive weigher (which believe me I AM) I may not have even known about the stall!! Now I see I am avering 5 or 6 pounds a month and I want to lose a final 55 poundd to be beyond any goal. When I did the math I realized even on a slow 5 pounds a month scale that adds 11 months to my already 5. Giving me 124.3 pounds in 16 months nearly 50% WL. In a time frame that docs say is good. So try looking at your numbers in increments. And from what everyone told me when I freaked over my stall I just got through we'll see them again. However, I excercise alot. But I also have a cookie once ina while. I just dont eat them allday!! -

I confess that I want to drink sooo bad because its Friday. I confess that's ironic because I am a stay at home wife everyday is friday. I confess that I dont count my protien at all, but I hardly eat and what I do is usually good. I confess I excercise my butt off atleast 6 days a week, hence the almost perfect diet and occasional drinking. I confess I weigh everyday sometimes multiple times I confess I had a slice of whest bread this week I confess I had surgery 5/21/13 SW 237.7 CW 185 total loss of 68.7 pounds and want to lose another 35 pounds then finally 20. I confess I get bored when im not excercising and need something else to do besides obsess! I confess ive had a very small amount of fast food from nearly every restaurant simce being sleeved but justify it because I hardly break 600 calories a day. Unless I drink. Sighhh -
Tomorrow is my 5 month weighin. HW 264. 1st appt 253.4 (april 2013) SW 237.7 (may 21 2013) CW 185 52.7 pounds simce surgery 68.7 pounds since April I had a huge 5 week stall and even my last 2 month weigh ins have only been about 5 or 6 pounds a month. I started exercising 3 month after surgery, I had severe back problems but I walk 2.3miles 6days a week. I bicycle 6-7 miles 3days a week too. I have become crazy obsessive with weighing and losi g weight and what if I dont lose anymore. Its so easy to forget that if we had excercised 5-6 days a week before and had even watched what we ate we probably would have never been 264 pounds!! So why is it that after we cut out our stomachs, and eat 500 calories a day, and excercise like crazy we still think we wont loose weight?? Is it wrong to be unhappy knowing on my 6month weighin Nov 21st I probably still be 180 having only lost another 5 pounds? I am working my ass off and it is soo slow now. When I first had surgery I thought man 150 would be less than what I weighed when I got married....but now almost 70 pounds lighter I want to finish out and start maintenance at 130. Sooo 55 pounds at 5 pounds a month means 11 more months. How does this sound to others? I guess 134 pounds in 16 months is good?? I have been lucky enough to not have to work right now, so all morning I excercise, eat right and then my husband goes to work at night. And the obsessing starts. There isnt enough tracking amd journal writing to save me. Any thoughts, suggestions, kind words, insite? Heres another thought. If I knew right now I wasnt going to lose another pound. Would I keep exxercising so much? Or just see how long I could get by on under 750 calories??

Many of us had to go through a preop diet. If I would have gained a pound my doctor would have postponed my surgery. I ended up losing 17 pounds in the pre op phase and had my surgery in 6 weeks from my initial consult. Ask around you may be in for a big surprise if you go in heavier. Be careful. And just know youll be able to eat food. Just wont need plates full to make you happy.

I decided to give myself some legit hard work and perfect dieting days. Im always good in the morning, but evenings get rough for me. Today was 3rd day and I did my usual walk and then went on a bike ride to a new trail. Needless to say it was 9 miles uphill! Both ways! My husband is on the naughty list and im on the heating pad but I survived. Anyways, this morning there was a definite drop in the scale! So I decided to put it up until next Saturday ( im a obsessive daily weigher). Weighed in at 187.4 so I will actually be out of the "obese" range in 2 more pounds and just overweight. Lol ill take it!! Good job on breaking your way through. I felt like mine lasted a while too!

My Gastric Sleeve Story 9-26-2013
nsharrah replied to Powderkeg42's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Powder keg...just an fyi. I had back surgery in October 2012. I had been diagnosed with DDD at the age of 37. So I had a partial discetomy, with right vs bilateral laminectomy. Bottom line, I had a HUGE pain pill addiction. When my first back surgery failed I was set to have an l4-l5 fusion. BUT decided to have WLS instead. I was sleeved in May 3013. And in July 2013 I detoxed off of the pain meds. Now 4 months after surgery I am off benzos, opiates, antidepressants and my BP meds are cut in half. I have backpain after I ride the bike but I rest a day and im ok. There is a light at the end. My feet dont hurt either in flip flops anymore. I was supposed to be on meds for the rest of my life, but turns out I was a sore back that turned addict . Taking weight off will do wonders!! Good luck I remember how hard waiting is. -
Wow that is so great, how much more if any do you want to lose? For me I always hid my weight well by the way I dressed so even at 250 I was a 22. Now at 188, 190 lol I am just barely a 15/16. I just bought my first pair of jeans at Macys last week. Right now I am picking up my daughter from school and she wants a doughnut!! :/ ahh help.

That's awesome!! My down time when the husbands gone and the kids are at school is my tough part. It would be easier to KNOW that if you eat some pretzels or drink once a week whether or not you can still hit your goals...is everyone really being that good??
