I can't seem to get used to NOT drinking with my meals!
Im14fun posted a topic in Food and Nutrition
This is one thing that I am struggling with the most! Will I ever get used to it? I try not do drink but then I am just so thirsty I resort to sipping a bit, and I end up paying dearly for it. When will I learn -

Hahaha....he does....but I'm pigheaded and do it anyway. I'm sure he finds a bit of pleasure in my tummy ache afterwards lol. -

Congratulations! Best of luck to you both! I still can't believe I actually had it done. I LOVE it! -

I am SO excited! I took my vanilla Protein shake, added almost a full scoop of Nestle's unsweetened cocoa, milk and 1/4 of a banana. It's SO good! It's probably a staple in these parts and been posted again and again, so if so I apologize, but this is great!

I LOVE you people! Of course I'm 'emotional' right now, so I might just really 'like' you
-
I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear this! Not for your sake of course, but I thought for sure maybe I had done something to stretch my tummy out and now my new curse will be hunger for a lifetime! Thank you ladies for giving me hope that this will pass

Food that fills you the most and keeps you that way for a while

I don't have a problem at all with Water. I can drink that much in a matter of minutes I would say. -

I just took my 'before' photos and HOOOOLY CR AP! If I weren't going into surgery in 3 days I'm pretty sure I would have smashed the camera (which is very expensive) and used the strap to hang myself from the nearest light fixture. Then again, I doubt the light fixture would hold me! Wow, wow, wow. If I wasn't sure before, I AM NOW! No wonder I have avoided the camera for the last few years! (funny thing is my fiance and I are both photographers) It's a lot easier being on the back side of the camera. Which is exactly where I will stay until I loose at least 50 lbs. Goodness sakes. SMH. -
Just an observation...not intended to offend anyone
Im14fun posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I am 6 days post-op and feeling pretty good. But the more I read the more it amazes me how badly people want to get back to old habits. The questions of 'when can I eat this again', and 'when can I have that' seem to be posted by the hundreds. I have to say I am in NO hurry to eat again. I don't want to visit 'Starbucks' or my local 'bar' as that is partially what put me in this position. Please don't take this the wrong way, I know some of you are just trying to get a feel for what is to come and when you can start doing some things. I just want to reiterate that this surgery is a tool and changes are desperately needed to be successful! Now is the perfect time to make those changes. Bring on the broth! -

Jesus, drop the hostility...re-read it, I never said that the sleeve has changed me completely, nor am I stupid enough to think it cures me or anyone else. Not sure why you seem so pissed, but there is NO need for that! -
When was your first 'stall' and how long did it last?
Im14fun posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine began after I had completed my second week post op. Now approaching my 1 month mark and STILL in a stall! It's just starting to piss me off now. As far as getting past it, did most of you change what you were doing, or just ride it out? -

Im14fun replied to Im14fun's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It happened! It happened! The scale moved 2.5 lbs lost!!! OMG there IS hope you guys! I thought for sure I was stuck at 21 lbs and had been for almost 2 weeks! Keep at it! Don't give up! I am SO excited! If it happened for me, it WILL happen for you! I was laying in bed this morning (Admin Secretary for a k-8 school, so still on vacation) reading your posts and dreading getting up and getting on the scale. But after hitting the restroom (because I must be completely void of every ounce before I weigh) I reluctantly climbed on. And I was shocked! Hang in there ladies, your time is near! -

Hahahahaha! I think the exact same thing! I feel like I will never lose another pound and I did all of this for 21lbs?! So not worth it! lol When was your surgery? Mine was June 26th and at exactly my 2 week mark I stopped losing. It has been 11 days for me -

I am pretty sure my calories are too low. I get in my fluids without any problem, and I rarely have anything with carbs. I am not quite at the level of protein I should be at though.
