I need your help, I was sleeved on the 12th and I don't know what full feels like! I have always pushed the boundaries on eating everything on my plate, so now I don't know when to stop? I am on liquid phase and get a heavy feeling in my chest is that it?

Thanks guys it is good to be home! Icu is somewhat standard for my surgeon, I also had some chest pain but eventuated to nothing. It was nice to have the added attention from the nurses in my time of need. I have such great respect for nurses, they were fantastic. I was just mentioning to a fellow soon to be sleever and told her about my use of yoga before the op, I used yogic breathing technique to control my pain post op. I highly recommend it to everyone. Misty well done honey! Yes gastro may have contributed to some of the loss recently but nothing to do with your overall fantastic achieve not thus far!

Hi Hun, in bris Vegas sleeved 5 days ago and bored in hospital while I wait to be discharged! Happy to be an honorary member of Vic for you -
Hi guys I'm back! And on the losers bench!! 5 days post op and sitting in hospital waiting to be discharged. What a ride, if I can give any advice other than what I have read on here is to heads your family up! I went to icu but luckily had told my kids that this could be a possibility. It scared them but they coped ok. Family meant everything to me as it was scary and a little painful, they kept encouraging me that light was at the end of the tunnel and because I gave them as much info as I could they knew my down moments and what to say to help!! Support is the key xox thanks to you all for your support and I look forward to passing on mine to whoever needs it

Thanks everyone for your moral support! I spoke to my dietician and he has put my mind at ease. I have started a journal to help with my fears. With the optifast I get how you feel, in fact I was disappointed to learn that for two weeks after I will still have to drink the vile stuff. Have you thought about opti slim? Change your dietician - it's our journey no one else's and it has to work for us just as much as the dietician. I am signing off for tonight, not to read any more horror stories in the us section of post op!! I will let all of you wonderful supportive angels know how I go on the other side. And misty hope you have got it sorted in India! Hugs

Thanks kelliv yes seeing the dietician in an hour, for my last visit before op tomorrow. I think I just need to calm down, sometimes I read and read threads on here and get myself into a tiz. I think because I am so scared about the op I am over thinking things and worrying.... Just want to be on top of everything, I think they call it control issues lol!

Hey guys, is there anything I should sort liquid wise for after my op? I love hubby but don't trust his skill at sourcing protein shakes etc... Would like to be sorted before I go in tomorrow urggggghhhhh! So nervous - thanks

It's not showing up? I tried looking for you but I only found someone in Perth? Am I doing something wrong... Not the most tech headed person. Going to the post office tomoz do you want me to send the box of soups down - email your address if you like. Funny I have been pretty emotional today, the closer it gets the more I want it to hurry up. -

I know right! I went out today and walked past sushi train..... Urghhh bloody shakes really don't cut the mustard sometimes. On the plus side I think I drank all my water - I am sure now that the weightloss is from constantly walking to the toilet. It's funny opti fast has worked both ways on me, one day constipated the next loosey goosey. I'm not sure wether it's the days I eat veggies or not. Last few days I haven't felt like eating anything, there is only so many mushrooms you can eat before your head tells you that it's no substitute for meat lol. I will try finding you on Facebook but feel free to look me up Diana Coyte ( not to many of us with that name) talk soon -

I must say I know what you mean! The chicken soup gave me the same reaction, in fact I couldn't stand the smell let only swallow it. I have preserved with the chocolate shake made on super cold water - after a few days I got use to it. You could look at opti slim products instead or perhaps the low carb celebrity slim, check with the dietician :-). Good luck I have 3 days left thank god lol

Absolutely! I like to make little goals, like getting more water or going to woollies with the kids and not sneaking in a chocolate! I couldn't tolerate the chicken soup so have a box here if you would like it? I can send it down I tried one and almost gagged. Funny how people think that this is the easy option, if only they knew hey. -

I know what you mean! Water is your best friend, drink every time you get a craving.... It's not easy but I guess we have no other option lol. I spent the first three days in bed, even now I try to just stay home a lot much easier that way. Are you having the shakes or have you tried the soup? -
