Hi everyone. I just got my approval and my surgery date today!! Post op Jam 22 and surgery Feb 6! I would love to make some friends to talk to n take this journey with. I have a support team here but I want someone who can really understand.

I started this process April 2013. I had to complete a six month diet, see a nutritionist, psych evaluation and a pre op class.All was submitted to insurance on 12/22 and on 12/26 I was approved. I have an appt with the surgeon on 1/22 to set a date for surgery and get all my preoperative testing info. I am super excited for the change that is going to happen. Anyone else in Colorado Springs, CO?

Well I just got off the phone with my dr office and I have to pay $868 before surgery. But she said I could pay half before surgery and half after. THANK GOD! So I have to pay about $430 before. Surgery date is Jan 29th!!!!!

I always pray for my fellow sleevers. I am scheduled for Jan. 27th now...moved up from Feb. 11th. I'll keep you in my prayers for a safe and successful surgery with wonderful and glorious weight loss afterwards. Please keep me in your prayers as well since we will be going through this around the same time. Put all your financial worries in God's hand and he will always make a way for things to happen. My date is January 29. I am excited and nervous. I start a 10 liquid diet on the19th. Not really looking forward to that. My doctor is Hamilton Le here in beautiful Oklahoma City.

Your right. Lots of people do give up and don't fight. But they should fight for it. But what I don't understand is why insurances make it so hard. Think about it, people having the surgery will save them money in the long run because It will cut out alot of health issues by losing weight

So as you all know I was denied by my insurance. So I had to do an appeal. I sent in a lot of medical records a letter from my PCP and a letter I wrote. I sent all that in on Dec 30. They received it on the 31st. They told me it will be 30 days before they made a decision. So I checked about a hour ago and they reversed the denial and approved it. I AM TOO HAPPY. I TRUELY THANK GOD BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM, IT WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE!!!!

So my doctor office called me a little while ago. They told me I could get Jan 29th for my surgery date. I want that date BUT I have to see what I have to pay first. I've been out of work since August so financially it's been rough. So I ask for yall to pray for me that it's not to much and I can get it paid by then. So I can get the Jan 29th date. Thanx in advance!!!

Well I will be sleeved on Jan 29th..if all goes well. I thought it would have been Feb or Mar but they called today and asked did I want the 29th and I took it!!

I know right...PRAISE BREAK...congrats to you too. My surgery probably won't be until February sometime. I have to get pulmonary clearance. I go on the 29th. Keep me posted!
