Hit my 95 punds.. Still 10 more to go..
chibabyy replied to csantana1228's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Skinny you, you look amazing. Congrats. -
Is it me or is anyone else starting to hate food so to say. I think that I am not enjoying food anymore because it doesn't take much before my tummy starts to ache. Even salad is a chore for me now, 2-3 forks of salad and I'm done. My 1year old eats more than I do and forget about my 3 yr old and they all take after my husband (skinny) thank God. I never want to eat the way I used to but at least there should be space for healthy stuff like salad with tuna. I still love my sleeve to death but I just eat to live.

My thighs are still fat and horrible but it will not be for so long because I am working extra hard on that treadmill to lose them. My thighs are the biggest part in my whole body and can't wait to lose the fats in there. Good luck all.

I'm new to this...think I'm doing this right?
chibabyy replied to mlk's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
God forbid that you will go back to your original weight, may that not be your portion or any of us. You have come so far to give up. Think about the compliments, think about all the weight lost, all the clothes that are too big on you and how you use to look. Then gather up all the other suggestions from everyone including your doc and nutritionist and you will be set. You are strong and able to achieve your goals. Hang in there Mlk, The Lord will see you thru. -

Congrats, you are getting sleeved on my wedding anniversary and it will bring you lots of luck. I only took two weeks off but some people take more which I couldn't afford to do. I did go back after the two weeks and I wasn't in any pain although sore but not a big deal. Everyone heals differently. Goodluck to you.

You are right which is why I don't understand why the weights are not dropping like water cos if I compare what I eat now to what I used eat? I just scream. I can barely finish a protein bar for lunch before I start getting a stomach ache. Even simple salad I can't finish. Food is like a job to me now cos I can never finish anything even when I think that I am very very hungry. Leftover foods from my kids and hubby used to bother me a lot when they put it in the fridge and I always found a place to dump the leftovers-my stomach. Now, I'm the one with the leftovers cos I can never finish any food no matter how small and it amazes me. I love my sleeve. Thank you lord and thank you dr. Silva.

I know I have messed up :(
chibabyy replied to KATHYBUSH2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi kathybush2013, there is a song that says "we fall down but we get up". Dust yourself up and try try again because you are strong, goal-oriented and focused. We make decisions to get sleeved because we are all these and more so dust off the dirt and try again lady cos you are not a quitter, none of us sleevers are. -
Hi skinny you. Looking good

I don't know when I'm going to resist the urge to eat ice-cream knowing what it did to me the first time I ate it after surgery. The first time I had ice cream which was a month after surgery, I vomited the whole ice cream half way thru. Today, almost a month later, I had to try another ice cream and I still feel like something is stuck in my throat. When am I going to learn my lesson and stop eating ice cream? After all it's empty calories and I am doing so so good. I'm going to stop, I have to stop.

You look great for a slow loser. I want to look the way you look now. Keep up the good work and you look great.

It has protein? Thanks, may be I can try that. The thing is that I don't even crave for it only because my job as a recreation therapist does ice cream social for the patients so its just staring me in the face. Thanks

I don't understand how I'm losing so much inches but its not reflecting on my scale. August 5th will be 2months post-op and only 35lbs lost but lots of inches gone to the point that I went from size 24w to 20w. Yes! Yes!. No complaint but I wish I can see my hard works of walking more than 10blocks and walking around the park for 20minutes for 5days. Love my sleeve and good luck to all.

Keep on walking but don't go doing crunches and ab exercises cos the incisions are still fresh. The walking is good and will help a lot.

Hello, there goes another skinny good looking lady. You look great. Congrats.

I'm trying to figure something out. When we used to eat everything and anything our eyes, hands and mouths can get hold of, we would gain tons and tons of weights even with some exercise. Now, our stomach is the size of a banana and can barely hold any food compared to what we used to eat yet the weights are not dropping like water even with exercise. Can this be explained? I don't get it even though I've tried to.

It is difficult to get in a lot of calories with this baby stomach we have. I have tried so many times and I find myself lying down with stomach cramps for a couple of hours and will be so scared to try that again after am better. My protein shake is good but somedays I find me sipping and then going home with some still leftover. I love food and don't think that I don't try to get in the calories and no! I don't eat empty calories cos I rather get my calories from real healthy food that will fill me up than from a cake or ice cream.

Any Montifiore Sleevers?
chibabyy replied to christy38's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello to all my Bronx neighbors. I live in the Bronx, my surgeon's office is in the Bronx too but he is affiliated with st Lawrence hospital in bronxville which is where I had my surgery 6/5/13. As if a month ago, I've lost 30lbs and can't wait to find out in a week or so how much more I've lost when I see my dr Miguel silva. He is great and his office is at Astor ave by eastchester rd. A friend of mine had hers with dr. Camacho and no complications. Good luck and keep in touch. -
Take it easy and relax. You have a lot to worry about but things will start to fall into place. Talking about food addiction, I am 7weeks out today and my eyes get bigger than my stomach at times but I do pay for it with the stomach cramps for about an hour or so before I can recover. You sometimes want to eat everything but your stomach is so tiny that you can't at least not at this stage. I can only walk now, tried running but gets tired easily so I'm just going to stick to walking until I loose more weight and get more energy. I love dancing and do a lot of it. Sleeved-6/5/13 Highest weight-300 Current weight-270 as of 7/5/13. I weigh myself once a month now when I see my doctor.

You sure all the gases are gone? Mine did not all go that soon, I guess everyone is different. Congrats, can't wait to see pics

Personally, I don't think it's anyone's business. I told my immediate family and my boss, that's it. The reason I told my boss was because I didn't have enough vacation time to cover me so I had to use some of my sick time which I had to bring a doctors note. If I had enough vacation hours, I wouldn't have told him, I would put in for vacation. People gossip too much and they tend to think about the surgery as taking the easy way out but it is anything but that. We have to work extremely hard if we want to achieve our goal. My point is- if you know someone that gossips a lot, don't tell them. It's your body, your business, and your story/surgery.

Hey skinny. Good job

So on Sunday 7/21/13, I went to my luggage where I stored all the clothes that doesn't fit anymore just to see/recall what was in there and also because my size 24 pants were getting too big on me. I tried on my size 22 favorite jean skirt that I have not worn in over 2years and it fit, even felt loose. I tried a bunch of outfit and finally had to fold all my size 24 pants that I wear to work and replace them with size 22 ones. I tried on a size 18 but would not fit cos my thighs are still fat. So excited that I'm officially a size 22 which was my size 2yrs ago. Sleeved 6/5/13-my birthday. Highest weight-300 Surgery weight-287 Current weight- 269 as of 7/12/13 inches gone- a bunch So happy and looking forward to the next 2months.

You can not top me when it comes to being a baby with pain. I am the biggest baby out there when it comes to pain, and my hubby tells me all the time that I am allergic to pain. If I can have a painful c-section and a sleeve and survive? Everyone out there and their kid sister can do it and survive too. Don't worry, you will be more than fine and if you can't take the pain then take the pain medication. Good luck
