1 year and 8 months post op! ????
chibabyy replied to SpaceyCasey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats. Keep up the good work and it will happen. Who knows May be you are pregnant already. Check it out. Good luck. I know what you are going thru, my hubby and I tried to have a baby for 2yrs after my first son but nothing happened. It wasn't until after I finished my last appointment to get my surgery date that I found out that I was pregnant. I guess it happened cos my mind was on the surgery instead. I had a baby boy and started the sleeve process all over again. God will bless you and other women out there just like he blessed me. -
I took only two weeks off but my job is not strenuous like yours so you might need more time. Ask your surgeon but don't forget to tell him what kind of work you do. I have a problem remembering my questions for my doctors and forgets to write down most times. Good luck.

Surgery Nov. 18 - the holidays
chibabyy replied to suchsh's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You will be fine during the holidays. You just have to plan ahead of time what to eat instead and be creative about it. You might think it will be difficult but when the holidays come around, you will actually find out that just looking at some of the food makes you sick not to talk of eating them. Good luck and God bless. -
95lbs in 5 months? That's beautiful. I wish I can be like you when I am 5months. Now let me go and do some squats. Rock it skinny, you look amazing. Congrats.

Yes you are. 3 days? Are you kidding me? You are going to need more than three days. I had my surgery on a Wednesday and discharged on Friday, which is basically two days. You can't possibly heal in 3 days. No way Jose.

A change is coming.....

Marriage is give and take and it's never going to be 50/50. One person will always give more and it's not a crime if you truly love and in love with your mate. I love going to the movies and eating out at least once a month but when I got married, I found out that my husband hates going to theatre to watch a movie cos he says that he falls asleep. Also, he doesn't believe in spending money by going to eat out all the time when you don't even know if the hands making the food has been washed. Do you think that I will leave my husband for these issues? Heck No! I love him and the positives in him outweighs his negatives. Marriage is not easy and takes a lot of hardwork and sometimes you want to give up but think back to what brought you two together in the first place. Marriage might be a piece of paper to someone that has no love for their mate but will mean more for someone else in love. Please hang in there and think about the good things in him before you make any drastic decision. Good luck. -
My doctor told me that I am not eating enough food and that can affect my weight loss which means that it might be the reason why I'm not losing much. How much food can I possibly get into this little pouch. I basically have to force myself to eat? That's a first, it's usually the other way around. Pray for me to get more appetite for more protein.

I forgot to mention that my doctor suggested that i sip the shakes in between my meals. I already can't finish it when I start in the morning not to talk of sipping only in between meals? Are you kidding me, I will be sipping for two days then.

I was in the mood for wheat thins and I read on the pack that serving size is 16 pieces for 140 calories. I actually counted 16 pieces exactly and closed the package. What is happening to me? Whatever it is, I'm in love. That would never happen to me b4 the surgery. I'm so proud of myself and my little stomach. By the way, I didn't finish the wheat thins after all. I'm 3mos post op and 44lbs down which is not much in my eyes but I console myself with all the inches lost. Also went from size 24 to 20. Love my sleeve.

I wish I lost that much within days when I was sleeved. To make it worse, I had a stall about the 2nd or 3rd week and you know that was not fun. That amount of weight loss is just fine, some lose less, some more, some even gain back their preop weight within days after surgery plus more. Like the previous person said, most of these are most likely water weight even for the people that gain. Good luck, see you on the skinny side of life.

I never thought I was that much of a big eater before being sleeved but seeing how much food is spoiling in my fridge has brought my out of denial. I now know that I have been the one eating the leftovers and bottom pots of food. I will be 3 months post op on 9/5/13 and down 44lbs and 2 dress sizes. I still cannot believe myself putting away food cos I'm full. Being full was never in my dictionary before the sleeve unless the food is finished. I still pinch myself every now and then to know if I am real or fake. My 1yr old has more appetite than I do and he is not big ( thank God he has my husband's stature). So so happy for the changes in my life but still can't believe that I now say NO to food? WOW. ME or someone else? Somebody pinch me please.

EPIC FAIL ON THE PRE-OP DIET!
chibabyy replied to READY4CHANGE2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have been reading post about people giving up on this site because of the negative comments that they have received and now I understand their frustrations. We are all here for a purpose and we all got to this point because of one thing (food) I think. We are bound to fall but as long as you dust yourself up and get back up, you will be alright by God's grace. We need to be uplifted and encouraged not be put down cos a bunch of us has been thru that all our lives and being told that we are going to fail is the last thing we all need to hear. As much honest and direct as you sound, you are not helping the situation. Would you tell a cancer or HIV patient to just stop fighting for their lives or stop taking their medicines because they are going to die anyway? It's not what you say, it's how you say it. In this case, it's not what you post but how you post it. We need positives not negatives and save the rest for talks with your kids. -
You feel amazing because you look amazing.

Hey skinny, looking great. Keep it up.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! GOT ME A DATE!
chibabyy replied to READY4CHANGE2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You getting sleeved on your birthday? Finally found someone that did the same thing I did. I got sleeved on my birthday too and I've been posting and asking if anyone else got sleeved on their birthday and no one did. I'm happy for you cos this will be a date you will never forget as long as you live. Congrats to you, you will not regret this decision. The best thing we can all do for us. -
Hi Jen, I'm sorry you hate the word "skinny" but be ready cos I would be one of the first people to call you that when the weight starts melting off you. Sorry but it will happen eventually.

Can you see any difference?

Hey skinny. You look amazing. Go ahead girl, rock it. -
Hello my fellow post sleevers, can your protein beat mine? i am trying to figure out the best protein drink out there. My nutritionist told me to always get the protein drink with the most protein content and the least fat and sugar content. I am using the whey protein by body fortress with 30g of protein per scoop and 2.5g fat, 2g sugar, 170calories. I tried the premier protein drink and it was nasty. I was wondering if anyone else can beat this whey protein considering the contents. I'm looking for the most grams of protein. Thanks

No more food for comfort, for now.
chibabyy posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so glad that I don't run to food anymore for comfort when I feel depressed to stressed. For example, I went on the scale and realized that all my hard works are not being reflected on the scale, and this got me depressed. I immediately went to the fridge, piled a big bowl of rice with meat to eat and after two spoons, I started getting stomach ache and thank God for my sleeve. That would have been 50lbs added to my hips.
