First congratulations!!! I had the same extreme gas pain you did. Some ppl just don't get it and some do I guess. By day 5 I felt great. Each day gets way better . Good thing with the surprise surgery is you didn't have to wait and worry. Congratulations again !

I know what you mean nat, 15 days out I tried to eat a piece of moist chicken with bbq sauce. Big mistake too. stood in the bathroom for 15 min with nausea. Luckily it stayed down but I learned my lesson ! LOL Mushy food for us!

Hello fellow August sleevers !!!! My surgery was 8/8 and I am really progressing nicely. It takes some trial & error to find what works. I felt weak by day 5 and felt much better when Dr said it was okay to drink protein shakes. Stay healthy everyone ! August sleevers ROCK !

Tomorrow is my big day but still have a small bit of doubt ! My BMI is kind of low (36), but it has been that way for 20+ years despite all my dieting efforts. My husband & I are fine with my size & looks, but it's by far not about that ! I am 51, have severe sleep apnea, recently diagnosed with T2 Diabetes and have been on high BP meds for a few years. I know in my heart this is the right thing but I'm afraid of being judged or judging myself for not trying harder at the gym. After working 40+ hours a week, I'll admit , the gym wasn't a happy place for me. I appreciate any thoughts. last minute jitters I guess

Congratulations Mich You're on your way to a new & healthier life !

Nervousness is okay , just calm your mind knowing how well your health will be afterwards. I say it depends on your job. Office or (light duty) I would say give yourself 5-7 days. Any lifting or movement of the body while working I would wait 2 weeks or more. Hope that helps.
-
You're so lucky miss_cee. I would not worry at all ! I only take mine at night. I had loads of gas pain after surgery. It is almost gone now (5 days later). Glad you are doing so well. I graduated to puree foods today

Depends on your BMI. If you are on the lower end of the BMI scale, say 36 or so, your pre-op diet will be shorter than most. Hope that helps.
-
My prayers are with you Cee! hugs xxxx
-
Hang in there Nat, you'll be able to eat soon ! You got this!
-
Congratulations Marisa ! How are you doing?
