MrsPierre please tell me more about the B12 nasal spray. What is the name of it? Sorry for the hijack but I've never heard of it administered this way! No input on energy levels as I am not sleeved yet but any surgery where they put you under us going to knock you around a but afterwards. I would think you should be fine by 3 mos. -

You may want to talk to a therapist or psychologist. You might be moving into alcohol abuse territory. I would also worry about all those empty calories. -

How did you gain? I know it sounds silly, but I've been eating crap for two days and I guess you are what you eat because I feel like crap! Ive only gained 3 lbs. usually i can just look at bad food and gain weight. I usually eat very healthy, just too much, thus the weight gain. I know I'll gain it eventually, but this sucks! I've never purposely gaîned weight! -
Did anyone get cramps from the barium drink for the upper GI? It went through me pretty quickly (TMI I know) but now I'm crampy. Could be Aunt Flo, but anyone else get them from that crappy drink?

If your back is killing you you may be dehydrated. That is a sign. I'd call your doc to be safe!!

Anyone with bipolar had any problem getting approved for the surgery? I am stable, but some of my meds may have to be changed from extended release to regular, but I don't see why I couldn't get it. I'm worried a surgeon might not want to operate on me because of this and the emotional roller coaster after surgery. I have a great psych and support system...

So I went to my initial consult and everything went great! He does not care that I am bipolar and said that I would only have to take the alternative versions for my drugs for 4 weeks! I'm so excited!

So glad to be reading these....I too am BP and have extended release pills....I'm just worried about being approved for surgery. A lot of the extended release pills can be switched to the regular ones and because we absorb differently they will work differently. It's just to be safe!

Not yet...I have my initial consultation on Thursday. I just don't want to get myself all excited that I have finally found an answer and not be able to do it. The more I read, the more I find this is the right thing for me! I just want to know that other people with bipolar have had it done and been successful!
