    Tell Coworkers?

Mine knew I was having surgery, but didn't know what kind. It will be pretty evident when you come back to work 20+ pounds lighter. I have since told several people and they have been very supportive! I think it is a personal choice and that you should do it in a time that works for you. But remember the more support you have the easier it will be!

    May sleevers results so far!

I am a slow loser, 40lbs since May 28th... Only 5lbs in the last month. But I am still loosing inches.
  3. I have also slowed down. I think it is just out bodies catching up. I was frustrated at first, but I have convinced myself it is better to be slower in weight loss so my skin has a chance to retract and not be so saggy! Don't give up!

    No Want

I am feeling the same way, I am 2 months out today, and my sex drive has gone down the tube! I was super sexual before surgery, wanting to have sex every day if not more.... Now, the urge just isn't there. Makes me sad, any suggestions?

    cannot stomach vitamins!

I struggled with this also... Tries both chewable nd liquid, threw them both up with minutes of swallowing. I have switched to Centrum 1 a day gummies, I take double the dose, so 4 gummies in the morning. I still take my chewable iron and Vit B, but my vitamin D is also gummy. Good luck to you, and don't give up!
  8. I took 3 full weeks off then went back to work 1/2 days the first week back. This is a major surgery, I felt it was important to take the time to let my body and mind heal... And it was definitely easier to get through the puréed phase at home!

    Am I unusual?

Your not alone. I had surgery may 28, I was in severe searing pain for about 2 weeks. My mom had to help me dry off after my showers I was in so much pain. I agree with others, heating pad became my friend, and the more I moved, even just walking around my house, the better I felt.

    How many calories?

I am 6 weeks out tomorrow and average between 400-500 a day, today I had 800, which includes 180 from a liquid protein shot and I feel like I have eaten a house!!! My thinking has shifted so dramatically ... My meals were almost all protein, but I am still feeling guilty for having so many calories!
  13. I do struggle with this, especially now that I am on real food. I have eaten too fast for about 4 meals.... After each I has severe pain, nausea, foaming, burping... And eventually, had to go and throw up. I am hoping I have learned my lesson, really slow down and listen to your stomach. Usually after about 4 bites, I will burp, that is my signal that I am full!
  14. This is definitely my struggle also, if I remember ... Drinking causes volume in your stomach, which takes away from the space needed for food. I also heard somewhere that it can push the food through your stomach quicker... Not in a good way. Again, I am not sure if either are true. I am not good about not drinking up until I eat, but I have learned my lesson on waiting 30 min after, otherwise unpleasant things happen!
  15. This week I am starting to integrate regular food into my diet. I am finding that as I am feeling better and can eat more normal food, I have been going out with friends more. I am not making bad choices in my food, at least I don't think. However, when out I have been struggling to eat slow! Unfortunately, I believe this has resulted in me throwing up my meal 2 days in a row. Then I don't feel like eating for the rest of the night, in turn I have not been getting the Protein levels I need! Any suggestions for slowing down while out? I am still only eating a few bites and chewing well.... I just need to slow down!

    Having trouble eating

I am just over 4 weeks and am also struggling.. I thought it was because I was eating to quickly, but I am not sure. I do ok still with smushy food, but the more solid protein makes me throw up. I think it is a trial and error kind of thing. Remember to take small bites and eat slow, which is so hard to do with real food!!!

What did you eat today :) ?

Just over 4 weeks out. Breakfast: 1/2 a Greek yogurt Lunch: 1 once of turkey breast and a laughing cow cheese Snack: turkey pepperoni Dinner: first happy hour since surgery - 1/2 and iced tea, one French fry, a square of butternut squash flat bread, 1/3 of the pulled pork inside a taco. ( then I threw up :-(( ) oh well you have to try things! About 60 of Water with a 1/2 of a whey Protein shot in it. Bad protein day for me, just want hungry!
  18. I also struggled with the bariatric chewable and liquid multi vitamin... Because I am stubborn and refused to buy spend money on another vitamin, I take small bites of the chewable, breaking into about quarters, and eat it throughout the morning. That has helped tremendously! Good luck!
  19. I would contact your MD. The same thing happened to The incision I have that sits right under my bra. I am 4 weeks out and the stitching has finally desolated! It was one of the most painful things becAuse my bra kept getting caught on it! Hang in there!
  20. Today marks 4 weeks since my surgery. Best thing I could have done... Ever!! Pre-op weight 244 Surgery weight 240 Current weight 217

On Week 3 Post Op. Need some help!

I was sleeved on 5/28. My diet is consisting of: Greek yogurt, protein shakes, scrabbled eggs, canned chicken (I have added a touch of mayo and mustard or some taco seasoning with a laughing cow cheese melted in). Turkey chili, grilled shrimp, cottage cheese, frozen Greek yogurt popcicles, protein shots, PB2, turkey lunch meat with laughing cow cheese and Parmesan crisps to break up the mush!
  22. I am on week 3 ... And it does get better. My first week I could barely get in an out of bed by myself, I hit my wall on about day 4 when I tried to take a shower... I was in so much pain my mother had to come and dry me off and help me back in bed... Mind you I am 38 years old! Totally humiliation, but it passed. I am back to work this week, the pain is gone and I am able to focus on walking and ensuring I am hitting my protein goals! Hang in there.... This to shall pass!
