Ibuprofen and Prilosec?! What in the sam hell? I would demand to be on heparin!Well the Prilosec is to protect my new sleeve, and I guess the ibuprofen as a low dose thinner, they said NSAIDS were good for thinning the blood

Btw I'm glad I did get semi ready, make up done but wearing a hat! Bc I ended up at PCP office then off to radiology and then sent to the ER!!
-
I ended up having an ultrasound and it ended up being a blood clot in a superficial vein in my forearm!!!

I'm being treated with 600mg of ibuprofen, and Prilosec 40mg (PPI) every 6 hrs! I will follow up on Monday and they will order another ultrasound to make sure it is resolving!!!

Arm has been hurting for a couple of days now, (same arm as my IV site) so I called my PCP and they saw me, told me it was cellulitis from the IV! On the way out I didn't feel comfortable, so I asked for an ultrasound!
I have clot in a superficial vein, in my right forearm:( but I'm checking in the ER right now to find out what they are going to do!!!

6 days post op and I have yet to put on make up or fix my hair, I just take my bath, wash my face and let my hair dry naturally!! (Very scary)
I have a call into the surgeons office, about a problem with my arm where my IV was at (in the bend of my arm) and the vein has swollen and I can't straighten my arm completely out! So I'm hoping they will take a look at it today!!

My chihuahua jumped on my belly last night before I could stop her...lets just say that wasn't very pleasant!!! :/

Let me add one thing, I don't sip broth close to my Protein Shake I usually wait a while in between shakes, broth and Popsicle!!!! Water sipped all the time!! Water requirements are 64oz a day so I'm trying to get all my fluids in!!!

I'm on my 2 week full liquid diet right now, am I the only one that feels like I am literally sipping something (slowly, to fast and it hurts bad) every min of the day! I sip Water and then go right to sipping my Protein Shakes and then I sip my broth! Nothing stays in the pouch long so I can sip, sip, sip

So I'm 3 days post op! My leak test was good! Stated drinking Water a few hrs later! My question is this....How long do we have to worry about developing a leak?!? I've read the complication stories and was wondering how long it takes for the stomach to completely heal up?!? Or are we FOREVER at risk for a leak?!? Kinda scary to think about, but to me that's reality of this while process!!!

It sounds like something is alive in my belly every time I drink! 4 days post op, started my Protein Shakes yesterday along with sugar free popsicles, SF Jello and broth, this started when I started to drink after my leak test!
Does anyone else have a rumble, gurgle, rolling sounds in their belly!?!

I actually found that cold liquids made my stomach feel better, I sipped a shake in the hospital this morn and it was room temperature, I think it would of been better cool!! I really LOVED the ice chips the best!!! I didn't realize how big ice chips actually were!!!
Also the sipping for surgery didn't happen until after surgery....I gulped before, and let me just tell you...you CAN'T gulp it hurts SO bad!!!
