  1. I am counting the days till I can have some refried beans! I'm even dreaming of them lol enjoy!!!

I was counting the days myself!!! I would def daydream about them!!! I enjoyed about 2oz and that was all I could eat, but boy I think they were the best 2oz I've eat in a LONG TIME!!!

  2. That's wonderful!! None of the hoops to jump through...my insurance process and nut visits, psych evals, 12 week diet and exercise, from the 1st seminar to the day of my surgery was 8 months!!! So everyone that went through so quickly...y'all are the lucky few!!! Good luck:)

  3. My guidelines say "limit" caffeine, I've had my regular unsweetened tea with Splenda since the day I came home post op! I don't drink massive amounts probably 8-12oz a day!! I'm still losing weight, so far about a pound a day!!

    11days post op

  4. Hi Kim 2002 I'm so..... glad to be on this site' date=' looking forward to meeting great people who can relate to what I'm going through. Has your recovery been smooth sailing thus far?[/quote']

Well I've had a few minor things...a blood clot in my arm, and a few days that I've had no energy, but over all it's been pretty good! I've healed up very nicely!! Again welcome!!

  5. I only had that probem for a day; they gave me ice Water and ice chips in the hospital and that helps with the inflamation initially. I can take in more than a sip now' date=' more like a swig, without any problems. I set my timer for 5 minutes and take a drink of something; I alternate being sure to get enough Protein in. I am on full liquids right now. I wouldn't say anything bad is going to happen, but you'll know if you drink too much at one time, you feel REALLY full when you do, and it hurts a bit; I wouldn't suggest more than 2 ounces at a time. Is this what your doc said?[/quote']

    Good info!!!!

    Kim:)

  6. I'm 9 days post op and I was wondering at this point was it easier for you to swallow liquids!! If I didn't literally sip drops the first 2-3 days it felt like I was swallowing a brick!! Thank goodness now it doesn't hurt at all, but I'm scared that if I swallow to much something is going to happen! Please put my mind at ease and tell me about you "sipping/swallowing" experience!!!

  7. I would search the boards for this kinda stuff, but I don't have the energy!!! I felt so good like days 3 & 4 but then they found the blood clot in my arm in a superficial vein (I've been worried about that) the last couple days have been an emotional roller coaster! I ask myself "what the hell have I done to myself" I have been getting plenty of fluids in and I've drank my shakes, but I feel only having less than 600 calories is catching up to me....

On one positive note my belly swelling has gone down and the soreness is getting better!! Yesterday I started the cRaZy hiccuping :( which feels like my esophagus is going to explode!!! And sneezing feels like the stitch on the left side (that's way deep) feels like someone took a match and lit me on fire on the inside!!

I am so dedicated to losing this weight, my heart and mind are set and they are right place, I know that these are just TINY LITTLE road blocks, the emotions, the moodiness but I think it's all part of this journey!!! This is reality, this is my life my life now and I have to take it one day at a time!!! But what a heck of a ride its going to be!!!

The husband and kids are great but of course they don't understand the whole experience, this consumes you... Mind, body and soul!!!!

Hoping for a more peaceful day, got my Water jug next to me, my iPad and headphones:)

    It will get better!!!!
