Though I will always say you should stick to your nuts advice... 6 months without veggies? Does not seem right. I really think it would be worth a call into your surgeon to ask if you could eat things like broccoli and such. You said "fresh" does that mean raw maybe? Raw is a bit more difficult in the first months... Again I would put a call in to ask about thisYes just raw veggies, I have had lots of broccoli and green Beans cooked soft:)

Does anyone know the reason why I can't eat fresh fruits and veggies for the 6 months! I had 2 weeks of liquids, 4 weeks of puréed and then up to 6 months on soft fork tender foods with no fresh fruits no fresh veggies no steak or pork chops!! My guide book does not give me the reason for this....anyone know why!!!! Yes I can ask my nut but most people on here prob know the reason :) thx

I also do not experience hunger. I can go all day and not eat and I don;t ever feel anything. I sometimes feel empty but never hunger.I don't think mine is true hunger like I use to get pre-sleeve I think it's more like you said....it's an empty feeling!!!
Head hunger is another story now!!!! Sometimes that head hunger talks REALLY, REALLY LOUD Though

Somedays my sleeve is a ravenous beast that can't get enough fluids and food!! Other days like today, my sleeve doesn't want anything...
Couldn't even finish 1 egg for Breakfast this morning and yesterday I think I could've eaten the side of a house!!
I know that it depends on the kinds of foods I start feeding my sleeve in the mornings....example, if I eat straight Protein first thing I'm not as hungry (which is the right way to start the day) if I start with a Protein shake or yogurt, I feel hungrier sooner!!
I don't think in experiencing true hunger yet, I think it may be more head hunger!!!!

You're right I don't eat more than the 4oz these days either! But when I'm a year out the NUT said I would prob be eating hat much, 3 oz of meat and a veggie a starch...eating a kid plate for the rest of my life!!

One of the things I hate most is when people see me plate and say, "Oh I didn't know you could eat that, or oh I didn't know you were allowed to eat that" I'm so glad that I have built in food detectives!! If I do eat something or have something that in not supposed to....it's none of NO ONEs business!!! BTW I haven't eaten anything I'm not supposed to, I had 1 egg and a link sausage for mid-morning!
I guess because just about everyone knows I had surgery everybody is curious as to what I'm eating....
Does this happen to you?

I'm def gonna stick to the programs guidelines I was just wondering if anyone knew the reason for the wait! Fibrous does that mean it would be hard to digest and breakdown in our little sleeves?
