  1. So most puréed food makes me sick, so I found a very yummy recipe to eat during this long stage!!!! I used the mozzarella cheese and ranch dressing!! I also put a little more cheese than it called for!! I'm attaching the link if interested!! It's VERY LOW CARB http://www.franksredhot.com/recipes/franks-redhot-buffalo-chicken-dip-RE1242 Kim
  2. So I'm 9 weeks out today and I'm down 41 lbs and I think most of it came from top and a little from the stomach (it is a lot flatter) but still, so now it looks like I have these large arms still (bat wings) and these nice big thunder thighs!! But I guess I can say I'm thankful for this new waist that's reappearing!!! Maybe I will go but me a few new bras with padding!?!?! LoL I guess we can't pick where the weight comes off first!! Thumbs down Kim
  3. At my 3 month follow up! I will be 12 weeks out on 11-8-13! Down 51.2 lbs IM SOOOO HAPPY

  6. I also like the looks I get when I don't order a drink at a restaurant! I usually get a to go cup when we leave so I can have some at my 30 min window!! Kim
  7. One of the things I hate most is when people see me plate and say, "Oh I didn't know you could eat that, or oh I didn't know you were allowed to eat that" I'm so glad that I have built in food detectives!! If I do eat something or have something that in not supposed to....it's none of NO ONEs business!!! BTW I haven't eaten anything I'm not supposed to, I had 1 egg and a link sausage for mid-morning! I guess because just about everyone knows I had surgery everybody is curious as to what I'm eating.... Does this happen to you? Kim Sleeved 8/8/13 Down 37lbs

The bottom pic in the difference in my belly after 6 weeks post op, think that pic really shows how much I've lost in my belly area (the bad Pic was taken the night before surgery) To date I'm down to 209lbs with a goal to be in ONEderland by thanksgiving day.) Thanks for looking, it's smAll little goals and taking it one day at a time that help me through this tough journey, no one sAid it would be easy!!! Kim

    Hiccups

I'm 10 weeks out and I have the hiccups very often....it's not very attractive when I do it, because it sounds like it comes all the way up from the insides of my gut, and is SOOO loud, its embarrassing but also at the same time kinda funny! If I eat or drink a little fast I will get them!!! But hey everyone that I eat with knows I've had the sleeve and they are use to it now Kim

    When can i eat salad?

I have to wait 6 MONTHS before I can have ANY kind of fresh, raw veggies!!!! I want a salad so bad!!! My NUT told me to stay away from the produce section till then!!! Kim
  17. So I'm 10 weeks out (thought I was 9 on thurs, my bad) anyway since I was released to soft fork tender foods, my head has been so messed up! I've eat more carbs than I should, I have had a few things that were "fork tender" but not really on my plan!!! I HAVE NOT HAD ANY FORM of SUGAR (like cakes, muffins, cupcakes, snack cakes etc......just so we are clear!!! I have not stalled I've continued to loss weight at a steady pace, but I know it could be more! So I'm putting this out there....my head will not win this game, my body and my new sleeve will! I loss a lot more weight when I stick to mostly low carb, high protein!!! So I'm taking my cravings and I'm going to be stronger than them!!! Like I said, steady weight loss wins the game and this is not a race, but I would rather get to the finish line sooner rather than later!!! Just my thought for the day!!! Kim Highest weight EVER 272lbs in 2004 (day I deliver twins!) Preop weight 8/2013 252lbs (sad I was only 20lbs lighter than I was preg with twins, and I gained 70lbs when I was preg) Weight 10/13/13 211lbs 10 weeks post op
