I got the Premiere Protein shakes from SAMs club today, for the past week I've been living in a dream and thought I could get most of my protein from my foods since I was moved to fork tender foods (which last until 6 months) that did not happen!!! So Tmrw I will start back drinking one shake a day until I can break this head hunger and these cravings!!! I have to stay focused!!! So I'm giving these a chance....I've not been able to handle any other shakes (they make me vomit) Kim (If you like them let me know)

I started chewing SF gum in the hospital post op, I can't handle the bad breath either!! I find that mints and SF gum help with cravings also!!! My nut recommends them!!!!

How do you deal with head hunger? I'm a little over 6 weeks out and I just want to eat something!!! Like a little snack of something I've not had!!! How do you fight the voices that tell you that you need something bad to eat!?! Kim

Here's another thing I want to throw out there! In my guideline food it doesn't say to avoid bacon, it says steak, pork chops and pork tenderloin as these are tougher than chicken, beef etc....anyway, if you chew chew chew like i do everything else, i think it would be ok! Anyway, if my have more fat in it, but it's pure Protein NO carbs and at this point my nut told me not to really count calories, or carbs watch my sugar and to get in 70g of protein! 3 little slices have 9g of protein....that's pretty awesome I think!! Thanks for responding I was just wondering what everyone else did!!! Kim

Just wondering if anyone ate bacon on the soft/fork tender stage? Kim

I'm almost 6 weeks post op! My eating options are SO limited right now, there are a couple of things I crave on a daily basis....I LOVE McDonald's Unsweetened Tea w/Splenda. I get a large and sip it over time! It's a lot and I'm getting in plenty of fluids!! (Water makes me vomit, twice last week) Also I'm loving my Greek yogurt, it's sweet enough to feel like I'm having dessert!! What are your must haves? Kim -
BMI has dropped 5.4 points! Lost 31lbs (including what I lost 10 day pre-op diet) Starting weight 252lbs Today's weight 221lbs It's been SO hard and I've struggled with the puréed stage, only 4 more days of it!!! But I've gotten some energy back, I'm sleeping better!!! Can't wait to see what the next 5 weeks has to offer!! Kim

I am a month and a few days post op, sleeved 8/8! I'm still having pain like deep down on my left side! Sometimes when I bend over, like to pick up something or tie my shoes it still hurts! I know it's prob from where my stomach was, and where they cut through the abdominal wall and stitched my back on the inside.....but just wondering how long this sensation will last!?! Kim

I just went back and looked, and it says serve with crackers or veggies....I bet when I'm a little further out it would be delicious with some celery!! -
Did anyone notice after surgery that your skin dry? I've noticed since I had my surgery on 8/8 that I can't keep enough lotion on to help my skin! Just curious? Kim
