I had surgery June 20th of this year so it has beeb a month and half since surgery. I find it a challenge to take my meds daily because something in my combo is making me sooo ill. I exercise 5-6 times a week for 30-45 mins. I try to eat enough to reach 1200 cal a day...this is a REAL challenge for me too. Drinking enough water is another chore. I feel like such a failure! At first I was losing weight. Now I've hit a wall. I'm not even 2 months out from surgery and for the past two weeks I haven't really been able to lose any weight. Some of my friends say that I've probably gained muscle so that is probably why I haven't lost weight. I find this hard to believe. At this point I don't know what to do to keep going. I'm really discouraged. I feel like I have failed and I've only begun.

I'm about 18 months post surgery and the first 9 months were amazing the weight just melted off. Then as I got closer to my year I hit a plateau. Then more time past and I found I had gain some of the weight I lost. Then I decided I needed to get back to the basics. I started working out again snd tracking my food and proteins. Then my friend told me about YOLI and then results she had...which were amazing. I've heard a lot of good thing about the YOLI BBB but I haven't heard from folks that have had the sleeve done. Is there anyone out there that has done YOLI or any other diet programs aka "life style change" programs? If so what are your thoughts. I would appreciate any honest feedback. Thanks!

I can go weeks without a BM. I actually have to take a laxative to go. I don't want to depend on laxatives to have a BM. I have increased my water intake. Is there anything else I can try?

Oh wow! You guys are so helpful. I know miralax doesn't have a taste but I was afraid to add it my water...silly I know. Thanks for giving me the idea to add the miralax to my shake. My friend who also had the surgery told me about the fiber gummies. I will give that a try too. I had problems with going regularly after I had my twins. I defiantly going to apply some of these suggestions. Thank you so much! -

I am going to try this! This looks like just the regime to get me back on track!!! Thanks! -
Well...lately things haven't been going as well as I would have hoped. I felt as though things had gotten better. But I had a couple of very stressful weeks dealing with my son. Now that I've received some help with that....I know that I'm off track. How do you get back on track to reaching your goals and you know you don't want to fail? I CAN NOT go backwards. HELP!!!!

I bought a case of Isopure RTD and I haven't opened yet because I don't like that way it taste. I know I can't finish one in a day. I was reading reviews about Unjury and people said that it taste good and it doesn't really taste like protein. I was also told the same thing about Isopure....now I'm stuck with a case of it and several different bottles. What do you think?

Oh ok....I didn't realize they provide samples. I will try that. Thanks!

Im almost 4 weeks post op. Ok...this might be TMI but I need help. I got on the scale today like an idiot. I wasn't suppose to weigh myself until Thursday. Anyway...I have only lost a 1 lb. in the last week. I've been working out everyday and eating almost nothing. I have popped in maybe almost a week. What do you think? My goal is to lose at least 5 lbs per week. -
No weight lost this week....????
nashiemmom replied to nashiemmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really don't know why I thought I could lose 5 lbs a week. When I went for my post io I asked the surgeon how much I should lose by the next visit I believe she said 10-15 lbs. But for some reason I thought she said 15-20 lbs. I'm starting to ask myself what more realistic and to focus on that goal. This is rough and it's only the beginning. ???? -
Finally at my 100 pound loss and in the 100s !6 months out

No weight lost this week....????
nashiemmom replied to nashiemmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks you guys soooo much!!! I will take all the help I can get. I don't even think I'm getting 600 calories a day. So I definitely need to do better. Maybe the will help with the weight lost....now I need to have a BM. This is crazy. The surgery doesn't just change your body but your entire life style. I already knew this bit now I guess it is actually sinking in. -
I'm currently 3 weeks post surgery and I'm at the point where I am afraid to eat. Mainly because I don't know about the pain and I don't want to go back to my old ways of eating all the crappy food I used to eat. So now I just don't eat at all really. Today I had a banana and my friend made me eat a grilled chicken wing. I didn't even do my protein the way I should. I'm afraid to eat and fail but I think I'm setting myself up for failure. Any advice?
