Thanks guys! I have really kind of found out who my friends are..and who are not. So sad but yes, ultimately its my decision and Im gonna do me for a little while instead of putting everyone else ahead of me. yep!

So, Tuesday June 25th I was supposed to be sleeved, at this point (today is Thursday the 27th) I would have been discharged and over this entire situation. On Monday night after being on liquids for days I received a call from the surgeon's office "no can do" my urinalysis from pre surgical testing had blood in it (I had my period) after yelling at the girl for ten minutes, I hung up where I retreated to a peanut butter & jelly sandwich and a box of Kleenex! I had come so far and within hours there is no hope. Emotionally I was prepared, I had made peace with my decision and was really feeling good mentally...now I am ALL over the place, having second thoughts ..its as if I lost my "mojo" so to speak..I just re did my urinalysis and whattya know, NO INFECTION! REALLY????? unreal! I have yet to reschedule the surgery, I have no date and Im left kinda in limbo...I know I desperately need to lose weight and I want to but now Im scared this is a sign...that being said...I have some questions maybe the post op patients can help with, so here goes... 1. How do you train your brain to stop shoveling it in after surgery? 2. I had a C-section and it wasn't that horrible, is the pain similar ? 3. Can you describe to me what you consume in a day? Thanks guys, so much! I read all your post's and I envy you all, such a strong bunch of wonderful people!!!!!!

thank you sweet girl, I really do appreciate the advice. I am a "everything happens for a reason" type person but I guess being that close and on liquids for a few days was beyond disappointing. I rearranged my life around June 25th as most of us have. I just want it done and over with and now I have to wait another month because of work conflicts, the waiting is the WORST! Summer is just beginning and I don't want any part of it! blah! thank you all so much for your kind words

you ladies are amazing! I cannot imagine waking up and it NOT being over, that's crazy! Or being wheeled in and being told to go home. I am so sorry! I guess I shouldn't complain huh? ugh! the disappointment sent me into a tail spin..depressed doesn't even begin to describe it. ugh! I LOVE CHINESE!!! chicken and broccoli w/ white sauce and white rice I eat at least 5 times a month. That stinks! I haven't had my surgery yet so now Im even more mad LOL

Thanks you guys! I appreciate that! I am pissed at the surgeon, I haven't called the office yet to tell them "I TOLD YOU SO!!" Im waiting till I calm down, I know I need to do this, Im trying so hard to mentally prepare again

Tomorrow I was due to be sleeved...an hour ago I received a call that said my lab work came back with blood in my urine...I had my period when urine was taken & told them ahead of time..thinking I may have an infection, they cancelled. To come this far and be told "sorry" is devastating! I am about to curl up in a ball and cry! I had prepared so much for this, spent a ton of money and now I am in limbo...so upsetting!

I cried like a big ole baby lol I'm just numb now...and second guessing everything, which is the worst part. Thanks you guys.. we shall see what happens in July xo

Thanks everyone! My insurance covers it but I have a high deducible plan so I've spent $1200 already plus $250 in mental health (which isn't covered) plus I took a weeks vacation for this and now I lose it. So upsetting ..all because there was blood in my urine..from my period. REALLY!? Ughhhhh

I was too upset to argue but yes I just have to redo the UA...it just stinks. I was mentally prepared and now I'm not

this morning Aunt Flo came to visit (sorry Fella's LOL) and Im due to be sleeved on Tuesday! WTH? I am hoping that by then Im over it but the thought of a catheter with my period is something Im not looking forward to! anyone else experience this ? Im thinking Im going to have to be completely naked minus a hospital gown? can you ladies help? these are things that plague me! not the surgery but my dreaded period LOL thanks you guys!

Oh No!!! you poor thing! thankfully I am done now but I did speak with the doctor, they told me its not a big deal at all! phew! best of luck to all of you lovely people

yes unfortunately I am getting a catheter, yuck! but thank you! I had presurgical testing this morning and they were not concerned..even though I am a wreck LOL

ugh! right????? we have enough to be concerned with, this is the last thing I wanted to deal with! I only pray by Tuesday its gone! I hear you girl

Thanks guys! I am a freak I know! hahahahhahaha I just have enough to worry about, was hoping this wouldn't be one of them! but Im thinking I will wear a tampon there and tell the nurses whats going on, hopefully they let me keep my undies on and wear a big ole pad! ugh...

Ok so, Im getting sleeved in a week from today..My biggest problem is that I snack during the day..I have an office position which has me chained to a desk for 8 hrs. This has been my biggest problem. Obviously I have stopped doing this prior to surgery so my mind is right but Im afraid of old habits resurfacing after surgery. Are there any healthy snacks you guys can recommend after Im all healed? If I never ate a sugary treat the rest of life, id be fine with it, its the salty treats that do it in for me! ugh! Please help! Thanks!
