I am in almost the exact same stall as you. I think it is just a matter of our bodies playing catch up. Right now I am just trying to live by the mantra that the scale will move eventually. I am always under 650 calories or so right now so it has to go down at some point!!

I also am at a stall. A bit frustrating but I know it won't last forever. I am down 18 lbs since starting my preop. It is so exciting to see the scale goung down so it just adds to the frustration of the stall!

This has been the longest work day ever!! I am not really scared about surgery but very restless today. I have no focus. I have to be there at 6 am tomorrow. I am so excited. Glad I am the first surgery of the day. Prayers with all the August 6'ers!!

I started a day early so yesterday was day 3 for me and the mental cravings were awful. I am allowed one small, high Protein meal and well, I broke down and had a cheese enchilada and payed for it all night. It set up like a brick in my stomach. I will not be breaking my preop diet again!! Today the cravings weren't half as bad as yesterday but that could be because I know how bad giving in to that craving felt. I can't wait for August 6th to get here! Ready to start the new, healthier chapter of my life.

I am glad I am not the only one fighting cravings! It is not even that I am that physically hungry on the pre-op diet, it is just the mental cravings. I decided when I have cravings to exercise first and then I am learning to crochet after I have worked out for the day. At this rate I may have a blanket or scarf for everyone on this site by the time I am done lol.

I am getting pictures taken next week for my before photos and I am really not looking forward to that. I too would rather be behind the camera than in the picture. I have a good friend that is a photographer that has agreed to help me document my journey. I am excited about the concept but not ready to do the first set of pictures. I plan on keeping the jeans from the first set of pictures I take and try them on each time I take new pictures. I am hoping this will help me get my brain on board with the physical changes happening. I am afraid I will be stuck in "fat girl brain" even when the scale is dropping! -
Has anyone else had an absolute nightmare dealing with BCBS of MN?? At first I planned on going the insurance route but once I started working with BCBS and realized how asinine their process is it looks like I will be self paying. They require the 6 months of doctor guided weight loss, which I am ok with. A BMI over 40 and a psych eval... like most insurances. But here is the fun part. I meet the BMI but they refuse to pay for any of the doctor guided stuff or the psych eval because they don't deem it medically necessary. Call me crazy but if I meet the BMI requirements wouldn't you think it be medically beneficial to me to have the surgery, in turn meaning all the prerequisite stuff is necessary?? I have even tried appealing all of this and was still denied. At this point I am not even sure why I pay for medical insurance any more. They don't help for much of anything. Hello self pay land for me!
