    The sleeve and hair loss.

Yeah I was pretty disgusted about the hair loss and I didn't notice much difference while taking 5,000 biotin. In the past before my surgery, I used Viviscal with great results and MSM but I couldn't afford Viviscal along with the other supplements I had to take and MSM is just terrible tasting (but works lol)! If you take it, the water should be warm so it dilutes the crystals and you want to mix it with lemon. With my taste buds changing and all, I just couldn't force myself to continue. Initially I was using MSM for knee pain but then I found out it was very good for the hair. Make sure you start off with a low dosage. I went to fast and it gave me headaches plus you have to drink lot of water too.

Recommend me a few cook books

I kept things really simple (boring) during my puréed weeks. I had one of those Magic Bullets that I used to blend up my tuna, egg, or salmon salad. For me, I still had a hard time eating so I still ate very little during my pureed food weeks. I did buy 1001 Low-Carb Recipes by Dana Carpender her receipt are simple and easy to make. Plus I needed the variety; I get really bored with food.
  3. My eating habits are way better at home then they were at work!

  4. How are you doing? I know diabetes is serious condition but I just never realized to what degree or extreme. Not to sound like I'm preaching or anything but are you into inspirational books? I like inspirational and law of attraction audios and books. They really help me to focus on the positive (I'm a working process ). I've been keeping a gratitude book and I got the idea from a book I'm currently reading. I can tell you just from reading your post it definitely puts things into perspective for me. When I hear/read other people's story, I realize I'm wallowing for no reason and I need to be more grateful. So thanks for sharing. Stay positive and take time to do the things that make you feel good.
  5. Time to start my workout routine...I'm really interested in hot yoga.

  6. Ok Taylor really needs a sibling (not getting one tho lol)...I'm out of breath dancing around with her don't she know I'm pushing 40 lol

  7. Hi Denise, I had my surgery because of weight loss but my co-worker had the gastric bypass to lose weight but most importantly it was a cure for her diabetes. I'm surprised that they aren't performing the bypass since your having problems digesting your food but that's why they are the doctors and I'm not Have you ever considered a raw food diet? You may find it beneficial. I've been researching the Hippocrates Health Institute for some time and they have a program I would like to attend plus they break down the benefits of wheatgrass which I used to grow but got away from it among other good habits that lead to my weight gain in the first place. I wish you well; take it one day at a time.

  9. There was a time when I never thought I would see 175lbs so to hit 260lbs was a shock. I was active duty Navy and never had a weight problem until 6 month before I separated at one time I thougt I was big at 150lbs (what was I thinking lol). I just kept getting bigger and bigger then I lost some weight, then gained some when I was pregnant with my daughter, loss all the baby weight only to gain it all back plus 35lbs. I too just threw in the towel and decided that being over weight was just the way it was going to be. Just keep envisioning yourself being at your ideal weight in your mind, start feel how you will feel when your trying on new clothes and love your body now. Don't worry about what you look like at the moment because that is all going to change start loving the new you right now. I'm so happy I got the surgery. I wish you well. Cheers to better health
  10. I was 260lbs and despite the fact that my face looked like it was going to explode...I did nothing I simply couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. So it continued to live in misery. I had a co-worker who kept talking to me about weight loss surgery and told me I should get the surgery and I refused. When she got her surgery, her once over sized body just started fading away and that when I was ready. It should have never taken me to see someone else's results to move forward but I guess I needed to see it would work for me too. I'm much happier now.
  11. I am dying laughing over here "my knees sounding like rice krispies every time I sat down" but trust me I know the feeling...I had bad knees before the weight gain and the extra weight didn't make it any better.
