Karla,
Got it! Welcome aboard, its gonna be a blast!!
-
We still have cabins left and we are still placing roomies together. We are trying to match them as best we can. Just PM me!
You don't have to book so far in advance, you just have to book that far in advance if you want THAT rate
Yes the price is for the ENTIRE week long cruise. The price includes taxes and port charges. The only additional would be airfare, transfers and insurance if you want it.

bumping for others.....

Welcome to LBT! There is a ton of information here on this board, especially for research or common questions. Won't be long before your in the Land of the Band.
-
Still need some information from a few people. If you need time, just PM the information and how much time you need. Those that KNOW they are going can get all set up. Those that want to reserve but wait a few weeks for sure, just PM me the info so I can get your name on it at least. You aren't locked into going until you decide for sure.

Sometimes, (read as: a lot of times), it is cheaper to find your own airfare and hunt down the times of the flights than to go through the cruise line for your air. Especially if you are coming from Florida. www.southwest.com has great prices. Remember: you are flying into Houston Hobby (hou) NOT Intercontinental (IAH) which is also in Houston.
Now, if you are not wanting to hassle with it, and willing to pay a few more dollars to have it done for you and to have transfers included, then it is good to go with the cruise.
If you find your own air, then it is still available to buy transfers to/from the ship.
Depends on if you want to work on your own airline arrangements or not. Remember..... all flights should arrive BEFORE 1pm to make sure you are at the ship before cruising. And on the leave date, make sure your flights are AFTER 10am to give you enough time to get off the ship and to the airport.
The trip from the ship to the airport is about 45 minutes.

Looks like high impact aerobics to me. That would KILL my back and knees. Your 25 though, so you may be able to keep up with that. For me... give me yoga and let me relaxxxxxxxxxx. :scared:

Please remember that the lap band yields 1-2 lbs a week. At 1 lb a week your 4 lb loss is normal. Metabolisms and previous damage to our bodies are different for everyone. Some lose weight very rapidly and stand still. Some take some time. It will work, just follow your dieting and eating rules and you will be successful. I can't remember who said it (I think it was Jack) but "you didn't gain all your weight in a few months, don't expect to lose it in a few months".
HUGS!! Everything will be okay. Just think.... you are 15 lbs lighter than you were a few months ago! That is terrific progress!!!

LMAO, I am going to teach 6th grade this year!!! Funny how we both did the same thing!!

SH!^ I forgot to add the poll. And it won't let me delete my own thread or posts anymore??
Oh well, I guess we can just reply. Darn it, I love a good poll.

I have lost almost all of my weight and I need 15 more pounds until goal. Just the past 6 months I have noticed a lot of back pain in my lower back. And just this week I strained a disc in my lower back (laid me out for about a week now). I think it may be because I did my weight loss within a year and maybe my stomach and back muscles aren't strong enough to take the drastic change??? Granted, when I was a police officer carrying around that heavyyyy duty belt didn't help, but I resigned 3 weeks ago and STILL hurt my back pretty bad.
Well most of you know how much I love a good poll, so I thought this might be a good topic! So.... have you had back pain since weight loss?
-
I gave up pop just 2 weeks before surgery (just to see how I would do) and I haven't had even a sip since! And I was a HUGE pepsi-holic! I substitute the soda pop with juice, flavored water, tea, lemonade. I feel sooooooo much better with none of that gunk inside me. Hmmmmm, now if I can only quit smoking.......
:scared:

and then... walk some more!!

I "could" and did drive about 3 days after surgery. But I wasn't really "comfortable" driving until about 7 days. Short trips were okay (grocery store, pharmacy, school, etc) but driving out and about for the heck of it was out of the question until about 10 days after surgery.

I know many bandsters with a "flipped" port. May be more challenging, but they still get filled and are doing great in weight loss! Hang in there!!
-
Good luck and many happy thoughts are with you. Come back soon and check in with us ASAP! We will be thinking of you.

I would get a second opinion from another bariatric doctor if I were you.
-
I had a harder tissue build up too and was told scar tissue, but it went down a little farther along after banded. I can still feel some hardness but I am guessing it is just some scar tissue left.

Welcome back!!

Well, as many of you know I resigned from being a police officer after 6 years and I am going to be teaching 6th grade. I have already made business cards for parents regarding my contact info as well as important school information for them to have handy.
I would like to draft an introduction letter for "open house" night. But I really don't know what to say in it.
Does anyone have a rockin' intro letter for parents and will share with me???? Hugs!
And btw, if you ARE a 6th grade teacher and have lesson plans that you are itching to share.... send them my way!!
