Okay, I usually call all the dogs in the neighborhood in my morning showers and they all start howling.... but shortness of breath is definitely an issue. Even climbing the stairs too fast is hard for the first 3 weeks at least.

I took a soft spongie and washed them (VERY gently) with antibacterial soap. At 14 days I started putting Vit E oil on them. I am waiting but I am going to post my 21 days after pic in a few days and I am VERY happy with them.

Personally, I would go and have a sit down chat with the wifey and let her know EXACTLY what happened. I am sure she does not blame you as you had no idea he was married. If anything, you make her more aware of what her husband is doing. And reassure her that you will not be pursuing anything further with him.

Awww Penni, I know it is so hard to see your mom in such a poor condition! My heart aches for you! Please tell her all of us at LBT are saying our blessings in our own ways for her speedy recovery and your peace of mind. (((HUGS))))

I too am a stomach and side sleeper. About a week post surgery is when I was able to with the help of my trusty body pillow. My body pillow is saving me, I highly recommend one. I also cried when making my chicken broth about the 5th day. (DH and son were having pizza). I take it one meal at a time. Once I choke down whatever it is that I don't want to be eating then I am full and it doesn't matter till next meal. Then, I go into the pantry, look around at all the food I can't have, then grab a different can of soup and start again. Now, I am entering week 3 and it is soooo hard. Hang in there! Soon we will have our fills and eating solid foods again like everyone else. That is what I keep telling myself. Plus, find a band buddy on here and bug the heck out of them sobbing/whining for hours on the phone (thanks Lisa and Penni).

okay, i feel a "little" better I guess. BUT YOU GET TO EAT!!! Ughhhhh, I just want to sleep the rest of this next week and don't even worry about it!

6 weeks... may 7th

Mike- What is your band date? I think I saw somewhere that it was March 22, which was the day before mine. I was banded on March 23. Is this correct? How are you doing? I hope this post finds you well and recovering quickly. Do you plan to go to Martinez for your 6 week check up and fill? I will be there Sat May 7th for my 6 week.

I too like the idea of both new forum ideas... someone suggested a newbie thread (get to know the acronyms and FAQ) and the problems thread.

I am telling yaaaaaaa... advertise a "big ladies size" garage sale and they will come in herds (no pun intended, well ok maybe it was a bad pun). My mom and sister have done this a couple of times to raise money for different charities or support groups and have done FANTASTIC! We all know that larger lady fashions cost a bit more/are harder to find so they WILL come (be aware of early birds too!). Or, you can use the money you raise to go out and splurge on YOUR SIZE!!

speaking of soggy things.... i agree, i don't like much soggies but i LOVEEEEEEEE soggy oreo (double stuff of course) in milk! Not a wierd combo but the soggy comment had me dreaming about it... hmmmmm, would it be considered a mushy??? ((hamster wheels are turning))
