As part of my husbands bachelor party he had to "do it" with a blow up doll. All good fun right? Well, those stupid guys filled the hole with icy hot and ground chili pepper. Needless to say, he got burned and had an infection of the urinary tract. Can you imagine how enjoyable my honeymoon was?

Okay, I had to go check out the site to see what all the hoopla was about. Nosey me I guess. In any case, I started to read some of the prayers and stuff. It seems to me to be a site dedicated to change and rehabilitation through christianity. Most of the prayers on there are asking for help in fixing their disturbing thoughts and feelings. Most are supportive about changing their actions and they are recognizing a concern and problem. I don't think that the site is for advocating abuse of young children. It is just an outlet for people to go who recognize their issues and want to have a safe outlet to vent and reach out to others???? So as disturbing as the site may be to some of you and your feelings about the subject, I would think that you would want to support them changing and making an effort to NOT be a pedophile. There isn't much public support of rehabilitating pedophiles or predators at all. I don't agree with how they feel or what they may or may not have done yet, but I do agree with people having an outlet and recognizing a need for change.

Yep, I am guilty too of falling off the band wagon. Chocolate was my culprit, goes down soooooooo smooth when it melts in your mouth. I was also doing a lot of drinking my calories in shakes and such. Damn Sonic!!! Anyways, I gained back 15 lbs I had lost. I am trying to get back into motivation. I used all of the excuses too, wintertime, PMS, stress at work, kids, etc etc. Time for me to take control again. No worries, the next band wagon will be there to pick me up again!!! And they will pick you up too! Just hop on!

Maybe someone will chime in here but I know that there is a clinical study happening in New York City. I was already banded when I checked it out. I know I found it somewhere on here so maybe you might want to do some browsing in the search area for New York and study?

Just wanted to say that I think it is great that we can be a supportive community on LapBandTalk and all come together for our purposes in weight loss. I am one of those straight girls (although a little bent if you know what I mean) but I think it is great that we can all come together to support each other in our endeavors. Plus, it is always nice to make new friends. Welcome everyone!

I am soooooooooo excited. I just got a fill last week (although I don't think it was enough so I am pissed) and I plan on losing 15 lbs before the cruise because I gained it over the winter. GRRRRRRRRRR...... I am so excited. I have the hot little dresses that I am going to wear and work them like I have never worked a dress before in my life! I am going to have the best time on this cruise I just know it!!! All of us are going to have the time of our lives celebrating our victories!!!

Okay okay, let's not kid ourselves ladies. Size DOES matter. The whole motion of the ocean line is crap. If you don't have it, it doesn't matter how you move. I once had a bigger guy as a boyfriend, big feet, big hands, broad shoulders, tall..... decided to test drive. I was horrified. I SWEAR it was no bigger or fatter than my index finger. I couldn't help it... I asked him what he thought I was supposed to do with that? I think I ruined him for life, never saw him again (thank goodness). I think of a man's penis as the "stick shift to life". If it is tall and thin, your constantly throwing it into the wrong gear. If it is short and fat like a tuna can, you can never get ahold of the damn thing to change gears. If it is big and hunky, you can move it into pole position and gears and be in the Indianapolis 500 if you want! On another note, I like the idea of abstinence until marriage.... but would I really buy a car without test driving it first? Lady can't live on toys alone ya know. Now, I think men can make the same arguments about women and their vaginas. The vagina is a muscle, if you don't exercise it, it doesn't get firmer and tighter. They say if you have seen one you have seen them all. Not true. There are some ugly mangy looking vaginas out there ladies. We have to do some work too. Especially after children you must do your exercises, can't blame it all on the guy. Also, I am a firm believer in the vaginal rejuvination for women. My friend (no, not me, actually a friend) did this after having 3 kids and gaining and losing weight back and forth, never doing Kiegel Exercises. WOWEEE the stories she tells, its like a magic surgery that gives you back your poofee rights I guess! So let's talk real.... No man wants to go "down" on a woman that is mangy and hairy and the lips are flapping about. It is just not appealing, I don't care how much they say they love you. No woman wants to go "down" on a man that you have to hold like a pencil and pucker like your kissing your grandma. Bottom line is: There are tools out there. We use them for weight loss, why not use them in other places as well. If it is broke, FIX it.

Karla, I recommend using the baby sunscreen at 50 SPF (available at Walgreens or WalMart). I am very fair too but I do tan once I get the initial over with. I plan on doing VERY small amounts in a tanning booth (about 3-5 minute sessions) for about a month before going.

Ummmmmmmmm, let me get through this hump first and see what happens. I am thinking a caribbean cruise next out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale? Alaska may be out of price ranges however I would be up for it if it would work. I am thinking a Spring cruise next year? Or probably summer again? Don't know..... Gimme till the end of June and I will get back to ya'll!! I have been calling it our "1st Annual" so I assume there will be a second?

Okay, since we are all sharing.... I am completely pro choice and do believe it is a womens right to have an abortion. I believe that until we walk a mile in their shoes, we cannot judge them. Late term abortions are senseless though. At the late term stage the baby could be given up for a full adoption and create a family for someone else. During the first trimester though, it is TOTALLY a womens right to decide not to carry a child to term. Although I do think that women should be responsible in their choices and not use abortion as a form of birth control. If I was pregnant and had not planned it, I would certainly consider abortion as an alternative. Again, no one can be judged unless you are in their shoes. And even if you did walk in their shoes, its not your job anyways. But in the end, I do not agree with the late term abortion. I don't think it should be banned however I think that doctors should consider the moral dilemma in today's society before doing this practice. However a "ban" will only cause more problems and underground abortions. At least if a woman does choose this option, it is a controlled environment. Just my two cents... go ahead, fire away...

Wow, I didn't see this thread? Shame on me! I am a proud wiccan. Born a witchlette. I have been solitary or "solitary family" my entire life. I am primarily into Moon Magick and Fairie Magick. I hold the sabbats but I generally Celebrate them during the christian holidays. I raise my child as wiccan but allow freedom of choice and expose him to other religions. He has the freedom to choose whatever he wants. So far, he chooses to be an unpracticing wiccan. He sometimes joins circle but very rarely. And get this.... I am working at a school that is primarily Mormon and High Christian. Envy me? I bet not!

Thanks for sharing Butch. I know that many of us have felt humiliated, depressed, wierd, unwanted, and FAT. Thank you for being blunt. This is why I posted this thread. I want us to be able to feel as if we can open up our hearts and our thoughts and know that no one is here to judge us, just support us.

I am here, there and everywhere lol. My kid turned 14 last month. Where did all those hormones come from? I swear I am starting to think that my name is "geeeeeeeez" with a ((sigh)). LOL

I went to Mexico too. I wouldn't say that all reports are "glowing" because I have heard my share of horror stories but my personal experience I would rate as "okay". Not terrific, not terrible, but got the job done. There are plenty of doctors in the US that take self pay now are are competitive with their rates. There are a few in Denver that are around $11k, one is Michigan that is $12k, a couple in Texas and in Chicago is $14k. I would suggest to look around. The aftercare once you have been banded in Mexico is frustrating but for me it is okay because I am closer to the border. I don't think Mexico is bad, but I also would have paid the money to have it done in the US if it had only been $1k more. Just the safety and psychological security of it would of been nice. But I am not steering you away from Mexico (or Belgium or Europe) but I just want to suggest looking deeper into options here in the states. And if BMI is an issue, nowadays doctors here in states will do that too because of the Mexico success.

Well, I need a fillllllllllllll..... I just need to get down to Phx and fly to San Diego and I just don't have time. Life just gets in my way. My last fill was Oct 05. I still have restriction but I can eat a lot before I feel it. I just need to bite the bullet and go get the darn fill and fly there! Either way, I realize and have come to terms that there WILL be another surgery eventually. The band is not designed to be life long only long term to change eating habits so that you learn to live without the band. Those veterans that have had their bands removed seemed to be doing good for a few months after but then I never see them post anymore. I wonder how Michelle and Penni are doing with weightloss efforts?
