  1. I'm out 4-days now and have lost another 5-pounds!

  2. My surgery was 6/13/13 and I am down 5-pounds from that date. I'm super inspired as I lost 15 during the 2-week Baritric Advantage meal replacement diet. That has me down 20-pounds in 19 days! I'm so excited and grateful! Also exciting, was adding yogurt back to my diet! It never tasted so good! LOL!! And what about strained cream of chicken soup! OMG! Delicious! It's the little things ...

    shoulder pain

My surgery was 6/13. I started having shoulder pain on the evening of the 14th. I did have a hiatal hernia repaired and was told I might have shoulder/neck pain, so it didn't worry me too much. It's gone today (day 4), so I'm pretty much text book. I do hope you're feeling better. If not, you might want to give them a call to rest your mind. Peace
  4. I finished all my pre op stuff yesterday. Just a few days now, and I'll be at the point of no return! LOL! I have enjoyed the pre op diet weight loss and look forward to how all of this is going to uncover a whole new me!

How did you get through 2 weeks pre op?!

I'm on day 8 of my pre-op diet which is 5 shakes of Bariatric Advantage Meal Replacement and 64oz of water daily. S/F popcicles and jello are also allowed. I've lost 19 pounds! Wow! Here's my personal truth. I haven't done a lot of feeling hungry in my lifetime. I'm not really used to it and the consequences are what's brought me here. I am surrendered to do what it takes to improve my quality of life. What I keep saying to myself is, "I'm having most of my stomach removed! If I can't stick to the pre-op diet, how can I possibly expect that I would do it post op?! They can't put my stomach back if I don't follow the program! Now is the time to be sure about my decision." This is an important time for all of us. It's defining. I am going through a hospital-owned surgical weight loss program in Metro Atlanta. Maybe that's the difference. I was very carefully vetted for this procedure and am being very closely monitored during the pre-op phase. If you are struggling, I wonder if a call to one of the surgeons team members might be a helpful next step. You are their patient, this is major surgery, and you deserve their A-Game! I wish you peace during this important part of the process.

    June surgery dates

My surgery is June 13th. I too am scared and excited. it's a little daunting. I will definitely need support from this group. I don't really have a feel for what to expect. I'm half way through the pre-op diet (Bariatric Advantage Shakes) and have lost 17 #'s already. Wow! It's amazing what reducing caloric intake can do! LOL!
