My conversion surgery is Friday (8/9) and I'm stressing. I'm so scared for the surgery. I have 5 children ages 6-15. My Lapband sucked, I've had it for 2 years. I just really scared. I was so sick after my band was put in and I'm scared of complications. I know this is normal for everyone. I guess I just need to vent a little. :/ Scheduled for lapband to sleeve-8/9. CW-279. I'm 6 days post op. I went back to work today ands drove today. I can't wait to be on full liquids. The night before surgery I weighed 277lb. The day I got home , 2 nights later I weighed 283. Today I weigh 262lbs. I hope the weight keep coming off, I just want to add some thicker stuff to my meals. I feel really good just exhausted. Scheduled for lapband to sleeve-8/9. CW-279. I think it depends on your surgeon. I only had to do do the day before on clear liquids. My BMI is 49. So I don't think BMI has anything to do with it. He said all of his sleeve patients and lapband patients get the day before of clear liquids. My post op plan is 2 weeks for clear liquids, 2 weeks of full liquids then progress to soft and reg foods. Had my conversation surgery today. I feel good. Much better than the lapband. The first few hours were hard bc anesthesia does not like me . I should be going on Sunday. My surgery is tomorrow and I'm freaking out. I'm so scared of complications. What if I don't wake up? Should I write goodbye letters to my kids and husband "just in case". In having second thoughts today. I'm scheduled for the band to sleeve revision on 8/9. I had the Lapband in November 2011, I had a awful recovery. Basically the anesthesia doesn't like me.... I get very sick from it. I just don't want to go through all of that again. I scared since the lap band didn't work that the sleeve won't work. Also what if something happens... I mean they are removing part of my stomach. It just scares the st of if me. I have 4 children and I work full time. I'm just scared. Im just overweight. I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes or anything. I had a aunt pass away in Aug 2011 from RNY complications. I want this Lapband out but I'm really scared and nervous to get the sleeve. I still have my band. They are doing it all in one day. I was never able to find the "sweet spot". My band is 10 cc anything over 5 cc and I can't drink Water and anything under and I can way whatever I want. Almost 2 years of this. I'm just done with it. I'm 31 years old. I weigh 279 and my BMI is about 52. Right now I have nothing else wrong with me. I want to lose weight, I want to make sure I will be healthy for my babies. I want to go on rides with them and fly comfortable and parasail with my husband on our next cruise. I'm so scared of the "what ifs". When I had my band I woke up in a panic attack bc I had my aunt on my mind. I know she was a severe case and her bypass was done wrong and she had major complications for 9 years bc of it but I just keep thinking "what if". My husband and mines 10 year wedding anniversary is in Sept 2015, we are tanking a cruise and we want to zip line and parasail. We went on one this Feb and couldn't do anything like that. Plus I want to fit in airplane seats better. We have 5 kids and we want to ride all the kids with them again at Cedar point and Universal. We go to Disney all the times and have a hard time on the roller coaster types rides. I just want to enjoy life more with my babies

I haven't lost any weight. Yes, it's a center of excellence. Yes he specializes in baratrics. I had lap band almost 2 years ago and nothing but problems, I actually weigh more than I did 2 years ago. All his sleeve surgeries are Clear liquids 24 hours before. I had my scope on Tuesday and its all good. He said the shrinking of the liver is bs. It hardly works. That's just what he said.

My surgery isn't until 8/9. I'm having it Friday and going back on Thursday.

Every doc is different. Mine doesn't do the 2 week preop. Just the day before on clear liquids. I'm in going to be okay. I go August 9th for my surgery. My BMI is like 51.

I just had mine today. No problem whatever. IV and the rolled me over to my side but the nasal cannel in my nose for oxygen, put the bite gard in my mouth. I was out and woke up 20 minutes later. It was all good. My throat feels fine. They just told me no driving today. So I'm watching The Walking Dead

My sleeve surgery was just approved... August 16th is the big day. Lapband did not work for me and has been nothing but trouble. I am scared and excited to have this surgery. I can't explain why..... Just very scared, those " what ifs" have alway gotten me. :/
