Just today I was walking through my home and thanking God for my surgery. Not for vanity but to health and I prayed for those who wish and want to have help and haven't found it yet. The rest is too long a list to text and for that I'm grateful -

I'm thankful for this thread I have been dealing with the same issues. As people compliment me on my weight loss I find that instead is just acknowledging the compliment I tend to add "yeah but" I need to loss so much more. I'm working on accepting myself and my journey as a marathon not a sprint.

I'm African American with locks and 7 months out and if my hair shed it locked and I'm glad to say No loss that I can see. Down 70 pounds which came off slow, maybe that's another reason. -

My decision for the sleeve was a last resort decision i was desperate for help,to reclaim control in my life and to achieve the success my efforts at dieting weren't bringing. Now I have to work harder then ever. There isn't a day that I can mindlessly eat as before. If you want the easy way out don't have WLS booya!! That Would be my response

I do the same, its from our old habits so many times I end up with leftover that last too long. Recently I've learned to share portions and only order one item. It takes time to trust that it will be more than enough. -

I love my sleeve and the help it offers, yes I'm along way from my goal weight but after years of yo-yo dieting with its ultimate failures this sleeve has giving me the control ice never been able to attain any other way. But being over fifty also make me realize life is short a and being healthy into my golden years is my first priory yes...but I refuse to always pass up a piece of cake lol
