I would love to get together. I live up in New Hope now. Easier for me to get places when my schedule is open.

I just moved to New Hope

I have lupus and the meds I take for that I could not do the bypass, I had to do the sleeve.

Bummer I would love to come, but I just had surgery yesterday to remove a kidney stone. Not sure I will be up it. The doctor said try not to over do it.

I met my surgeon before I started all the meetings with all the other required stuff and phone calls, it was nice to get that out of the way first. Got me really comfortable with him and he answered tons of questions I had. I have health partners and they approved me rather fast, however they can take up to thirty days to approve you. The lady at my clinic was surprised how fast they responded. So hopefully they respond fast for you too!

I would say do research and ask others opinions. I had Dr. Drew out of Ridgeview. He was an amazing man, kind and caring. He spent three hours with me answering any questions or concerns I had. I meet him at the informational you have to go to before you can have the surgery to decide what you want!

I was the same way. I was liquid two weeks pre-op and four weeks post-op. It sucked and it was hard. But the results I have now make it worth it

I use the celebrate brand. I buy them online.

Hi, price has nothing to do with it. I used SMART brand and got it at complete nutrition. They let you try them before you buy them. I say that I used, because since I had the surgery my stomach does not tolerate the protein powders or protein drinks. Milk is about the only protein drink that does my stomach no harm.

The nearest Y to me is like 30 min away! I would meet for support groups. My clinic also offers support groups as well.

I would be interested however I do not belong to a Y, would that be a problem

I live in Carver which isn't far from Bloomington and I'm New Hope almost every weekend at my boyfriends house. I would totally be up for meeting up with people for supporting each other. I have also been doing a lot of 5ks. They are fun. If anyone wants to do them or join a team to do one. You can join my team. I never was able to run and now I can run and keep going. Coming up I'm doing the goldy's run (as long as it's not freezing) runordye, hot chocolate run, the color run. A 5K is 3.1 mile run. I usually try to stick to the fun ones. If you any of you want to do one we could try and train together.
