It gets better. Hang in there! I know it's hard now but in a week or so you will be feeling much better. I was sleeved June 11 and I am doing great. Just a little sore.

I was 400 pounds on May 21st, had my surgery on June 11th and at my 1 week visit I weighed 349!! Wow!! So between my 3 week Pre op liquid diet and the post op stuff I lost 51 pounds! This makes me very happy!!

I think that I also need to get some smaller glasses...lol! But I will try the V8 Splash like you said. At least it will be something different. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! -

Also, I noticed on my diet food list that I can have tomato juice or V8. Has anyone tried that within a week postoperative! -
I get that tightness also but it goes away after a minute or so. No nausea at all! I can't wait till when I can have soft foods!

I was sleeved last Tuesday and came home Thursday and feel like a million bucks! The only problem was that I was at ER yesterday due to being dehydrated. My doctor sent me in to check my kidney functions due to me having high creatinine levels while I was in the hospital. But they were good after blood work came back so all I had to do was have an IV for fluids and went home. I am just wondering if this is gonna be a routine occurance to be dehydrated. Is this just a temporary side effect of the diet we sleepers have at first? I do drink as much liquids as I can physically take in.

I was sleeved Tuesday and came home yesterday afternoon. Everything went well. The dr was very fast and very thorough. I have some pain still but I hardly need the pain meds until bedtime just to make sure I can sleep. All my family and the nurses and medical staff thought I looked good and sound strong. I am on the liquid diet drinking Water and Protein shakes 4oz every hour alternating between shakes and liquids. I think I am doing great! But why does it seem so easy for me considering how I worried so much about having it done? It's almost like I feel guilty that I am doing well! Also, I am on several meds that I was on prior to surgery so taking my night time and morning time pills takes over an hour each way because I can only take 1 pill at a time with 10 mins in between each one! That is probably the thing that I am so overwhelmed with.

Thanks! I will.

OMG! That was exactly what I needed right now! I have to not cheat MYSELF because that is exactly what I'm doing when I eat off my preop diet! I feel so ashamed and guilty posting about my slip ups when you guys are going through this too and can be strong! I know I would deserve it if you all said "if he really cared about himself he wouldn't be foolish and sabotage this for himself". But do you think I still have enough time from now till Tuesday to still make it under the wire so-to-speak?

Thanks Ms Antiband! I need all the support I can get.

How do I see your link, donrodolfo? Didn't see a signature.

I am on my 3rd week of the liquid diet ( my surgery was postponed from June 6 to June 11 by the doctor because of an emergency with another patient ) and I have been eating SF jello and SF Popsicles and protein shakes. But 2 or 3 times in the last week I took a bite of an egg, a bite of cheese and today a bite of pizza, but since my diet started I lost at least 15 pounds. If I continue to stay stronger until my surgery on Tuesday, will my liver be small enough so as not to have it done with an open incision? I'm just a little worried.

I am not gonna let this give me an excuse to sabotage the surgery! This is my 2nd post on these forums and you guys have given me great support and guidance to help me get through. Thanks!

I got a call this morning from my surgeon's office saying my doctor had an emergency and my surgery was going to be postponed until next Tuesday the 11th. I was a little bit anxious waiting for today, but now I have to go ANOTHER week (my 3rd) on the liquid diet so I am freaking out and hungry as anything! I don't know how I'm gonna do this!
