What's your favorite 'Food Lube'???
IamCanadian25 replied to blossom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
hey girl, sometimes it could be the cuts of meats your using...and how long you cook them for. A softer, less chewy type of chicken would be, boneless skinless chicken thighs..there very soft and taste really good, and becareful how long your cooking your food for, for chicken to be cooked all the way threw.it only have to be 140-160 degrees and if you cook it to long...its going to to be dryer then a popcorn fart in hell! my favorite "food lube" is tomato sauce, anything tastes good with tomato sauce..hehe good luck... iamcanadian25 -
This is a juicer recipe, 1 whole carrot 1 stalk of celery 1 small green apple 1 little piece(and i mean little) piece of ginger root put all this threw a juice and drink at room temp. or over ice also tastes good with a little vodka....but not that i'd know...hehe iamcanadian25

heres a tip: Take a small wire mesh strainer, line it with cheese cloth, and put your yogurt in to the cheese cloth. This will drain all of the Water and liquid from the yogurt, and you will come up with the same texture and thickness as the sour cream, and it tastes close to the same! iamcanadian25

Turkey Meatballs 1lb of ground turkey 2 cloves of garlic, chopped 1 tsp of salt 1/2 tps pepper 1 egg 1/4cup of italian style bread crumbs 1/4 cup of grated romano cheese mix all these things together and form them in to meat balls carefully start dropping them in to your favorite tomato sauce let them cook and serve them on there own or with Pasta with only 1 egg in the meat mixture, it makes these meatballs very soft, and very soft = very band friendly.... i hope you all enjoy iamcanadian

IamCanadian25 replied to Corgi's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
hey there, girl i know where your coming from. I got my band on march 9th, so about a week ago i started with ground meats. So this past tuesday, i made a huge pot of pasta and meat balls for my family. Well, i ate a meatball and it went down fine in 8 pieces or so, then i desided i was gonna be a tough girl, and i put one piece of pasta in my mouth. I chewed it really really well, and i swallowed, and no sooner did it come right back at me. It was the worst feeling in the world! i wont be trying pasta for a long time..hehe.. i wish you much luck, iamcanadian25 -
