I feel like I'll never reach my goal
miangr replied to miangr's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You couldn't have said it better. The fact that I'm not losing is making me fall into bad habits again and just losing hope in myself. I've been overweight ever since I was a child so yes the compliments on the weight loss is nice, however, I'm not nearly where I want or need to be. Wearing a size 6/8 has never been in the picture for me and even with the weight I've loss this far, I can't see me getting any smaller, especially after this stall. It's extremely frustrating. I don't know wht to do. Standing weight right now is betwwn 238 and 240 -

I've been at a stall for a long while now. Approx 2 in a half months. I'm trying to get back into the flow of things as far as eating more calories and taking in more protein. If both these things are increased is it more likely I will start to lose again? I'm just scared that what I've lost will be all that I will lose after the sleeve since I'm at that point where the losing weight is suppose to "level off". I need help with what to do and change. Any suggestions ?

Stalled forever, should I start over?
miangr posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't lost any weight in about a month so I'm wondering to give this stall a little kickstart should I just go back to liquid protein for a little bit? This is only my second month out and I haven't lost weight since the first 3 weeks. -

No change in weight for 15 days at 3 months out
miangr replied to mamamareli's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In all honesty I'm almost 2 months out and I haven't lost since my first 3 weeks basically. So meaning I've been in a stall for a month lol. It is frustrating to be in a stall so long especially at the beginning because I think it just reminds us of all the times we have failed. No I don't need to loose 100 lbs in 3 months but at least 15 over the next month -

Small rant warning Ugh I've been stalled and im assuming I need to increase my calorie intake because I know it's too low even though I don't fell hungry throughout the day. I don't want my body to stay in starvation mode which is why I feel like in not losing weight. It's hard to increase my calories. Any suggestions for good foods that will help me increase my calorie intake to keep thos weight moving?

I've been stuck in the same 10 lb range and I thought I broke my pleateau when I lost the 4 lbs but I feel like im stuck again. Im already exercising. Is there any way ppl don't lose at all or even half the weight? Maybe I'm just an extremely slow loser but its nerve wrecking too. Any suggestions of what to do?

miangr replied to Ballermom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor appt was today and since my pre diet I'm down about 40 pounds mind you I'm 5 almost 6 weeks out. AND i stalled for 2 weeks. My surgeon said its less than he'd hope. I thought that was a pretty good amount! He kinda discouraged me. Apparently I'm a slow loser? -

I just feel like I'm lifting weights rather than actually strength training lol. How do you strength train w/o a professional because I'm too broke for a trainer
