I didn't have any alcohol for at least a year after surgery. But I do know people who have some at like 4 months they seem to be okay but be careful it doesn't take much!! Also, I like Crown with diet coke and found I was replacing it for foods because of the low calorie, carb count. It was like a dessert treat and I quickly put a stop to that. That is a slippery slope I don't want to go down.

I appreciate your opinion swimbikerun, and btw, congratulations on your weightloss! But if you're basing your conjecture on forum responses, there's a big hole in it. Maybe the reason you don't see posters on in the second year is because they no longer need the support, unless they're having issues again. They may have already posted their pictures and told their stories, no need to look to the forums for support or inspiration. I'm kind of like that, before surgery and the year after, I was on more frequently, asking questions, looking for help, and expressing the positive changes I was going through. But now, I occasionally stop by, offer information or some inspiring experiences to someone who's still on their journey to better health.

He really is a great surgeon and good person. His office staff bends over backwards to help you. I know of at least 5 others who had used him and we all had easy recoveries. One person flew in from another state. You can google him. Good luck with your search!

I live in Palm Coast but my surgery was in Boca Raton with Dr. Shillingford. I was a self pay and it was $10,500. He is an awesome surgeon!

I truly believe it is just a matter of time before that commercial hits the tv. I have said it for awhile now and I don't blame anyone for signing up for it. Good luck to all when it happens!

I have been out of town for the last few weeks so I haven't checked in like I normally do. I have stayed the same at 150 nothing exciting at least I didn't gain!

I'm in. You can start me at 153 with a goal of 150. Hopefully I can go past that but I just lost 3 pounds and I might end up going back to the half pound every other week. You never know I can adjust it if it is going well.
