This made me laugh! Bread is a big bad no no for me now. I stay away from all bread, Pasta and rice these days. I could probably eat some of it (tiny amount) but I have made a vow to myself to stay away. I know me and it would send me down the slippery slope of cravings that I have no desire to withdraw from again. Soooooooo I stay away. Thanks for the chuckle and the good advice.

I personally would not eat more but others do. If you are still losing and it isn't affecting you negatively then I would continue as you are.

I've lost 15lbs since I got pregnant... wth?!
Beach Lover replied to AbbieRoad's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Congratulations on the baby!! I agree with gmanbat and it sounds like you are doing great. I wouldn't worry about it unless it should continue on as a large amount of loss. Your baby is getting the nutrition it needs especially since you increased your caloric intake. Best of luck to you! -
It has milk protein concentrate, Calcium casinate, whey protein concentrate, milk protein isolate. You get 30g protein, 160 calories, 1g sugar, low fat 1g saturated fat. They taste delicious and I love putting it in my coffee with some sf caramel machiotto creamer. So good!! Give them a try! Premier Protein shakes are just under $19 for a case of 12 at Sam's.

I love the Premier Protein drinks as well. You get 30g of protein with each shake. I buy them at Sam's but you can get them at costco and BJ's also. The other day I saw them at Walmart in a 4 pack if you want to give them a try. Also, if you are feeling hunger is is probably acid. Are you taking an acid reducer? If not, I would strongly suggest that you talk to your doctor about it. Acid mimics hunger a lot. If you eat and then in just a little bit your hungry again that could be it. Good luck to you!

Did I stretch? (venting, mostly)
Beach Lover replied to plasticbee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I definitely do still feel restriction when I have denser Proteins. Sets my mind a bit more at ease to think of that (which I hadn't before). I really doubt that you have stretched your stomach at this point. My surgeon also told me that it would take a lot of purposeful overeating for a long time to stretch your stomach. -
pissed off @ myself :[
Beach Lover replied to Jo-bug's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This described me those first few weeks! It truly is an emotional roller coaster that first few weeks. I promise it does get better! The head hunger is a killer and fools you into picking on everyone and everything without realizing it is you just adjusting to the new eating patterns and your recovery. Hang in there! Your future has just begun! -
Did I stretch? (venting, mostly)
Beach Lover replied to plasticbee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think most of us are trying to get past the holiday treats and the extra things that we allowed. I did several days of liquids just to rid myself of the carb cravings. I only allowed myself extra things on Christmas and New Years Eve but that was all it took to mess with my head and make me want things I have long since died to. Hang in there you can get past it! -
Need Help - Constipation
Beach Lover replied to Tammy Meyers's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have taken 2 colace everyday and probably will for a long time. The combo with the coffee seems to be the most effective for me. -
Well it isn't much but it is a loss. Starting 212 Today 211 1 pound down. Goal 203 It seems I have slowed down some so I am going a little conservative with an 8 pound goal this time. Hopefully I will beat this! My last week for the Christmas Challenge I stayed the same......bummer!

Need Help - Constipation
Beach Lover replied to Tammy Meyers's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You can also take Colace. I take 2 every morning with my coffee and if you are in dire need you can always do an enema. This will relieve you quickly. Some say milk of magnesia works for them as well. Good luck! -

My husband must think this surgery = no stomach at all!
Beach Lover replied to Ree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Pull your meal out and set the rest out for your family. I honestly have lost my desire to eat a bunch of different foods anymore and sometimes find cooking for my family and just picking or not eating what they are having at all. -
June 2013 sleevers, eating more?
Beach Lover replied to kme's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved June 7th and most of the time I am still limited to 4 ounces and sometimes if I luck out I can get 6 ounces in. I think during the holidays if we are eating things we don't normally partake in we have a tendency to think we ate far more than we actually did just from the guilt of it all. However, I also think we can handle sliders quite efficiently especially if we have a beverage with it. I did pretty good during the holidays..........I did let loose on New Year's Eve though!! Congratulations on the 96 pounds!! -

Coming to terms with self pay.
Beach Lover replied to kim137's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too was a self pay and before the surgery I was feeling incredibly selfish spending the money on myself. Hindsight tells me it was the best thing I could ever do for myself! My husband is incredibly happy and I am a new person. Truly my only regret is that I didn't do it when I was younger when my children were younger. DO IT!! My surgery was done in Boca Raton, FL and I paid $10,500 all inclusive with 2 1/2 days in the hospital, testing and 1 year of follow up with my surgeon. I know of several people who have flown in and had the surgery with Dr. Shillingford. You might consider this to save a lot of money. He really is a great surgeon!! -

I do love my coffee! I've been a coffee drinker since I was a kid. I like the Salted Caramel better than the plain Caramel. I've never had a Caramel Latte from Dunkin Donuts. I do like a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks though...(insert evil laugh here). Here's how I make it... I make some strong coffee. I heat up 3 tablespoons of So Delicious Coconut Creamer (it tastes just like fat free 1/2 and 1/2 - no coconut flavor at all - you could use fat free 1/2 and 1/2 or soy creamer) and 3 tablespoons of milk (I use 1%) in the microwave (45 seconds on high) and stir in about 8 ounces of the strong coffee. Then I add about a teaspoon of the sugar free vanilla and a teaspoon of sugar free salted caramel. OMG - yum in a cup!!!!!! Where do you get the so Delicious Coconut Creamer from? This sounds absolutely wonderful and I am definitely going to give this one a try!! Do you have any other good recipes (insert begging here) that I might be able to try? -
I Lived Through This Surgery, My Sister Didn't.
Beach Lover replied to LyndseyD's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thank you for the update. The holidays are the roughest to get through especially with children involved. I have often thought of you and your family. My thoughts and prayers continue as you are going through all of this. We are here for you! Kelli/Beach Lover -
Torani or Davinci Syrups........Need help!
Beach Lover replied to Beach Lover's topic in Food and Nutrition
Do you prefer the salted Caramel or the plain caramel for coffee? Do you have a recipe for something similar to the Dunkin Donuts Caramel Latte? Before surgery I absolutely hated coffee and now I love the darn stuff!! Go figure 53 years old and just now liking coffee! It sounds like you are the coffee expert! -
