  1. I didn't wear any since they made me strip completely for surgery and since my robe covered everything, I didn't bother putting on the ones I packed. Was easier to use the restroom without dealing with panties. TMI I guess but just weighing in

Yummy soups when on full liquids

I personally dislike canned soup so I stick to the boxes (I taste the metal in canned). The calories in the roasted red pepper tomato is 110, 2 grams of fat and 16 carbs and 5 Protein which is way better than Campbell regular tomato soup (at 22 carbs!). I seem to have more capacity than others and can eat a full serving (8 oz) or close to it but considering what I sed to eat and given my total calories for the day are 800, I don't worry too much about the soups. Let me know how you like it or what soups you find. I am in mushy stage but am also eating fish (chew really well) but still love soup for dinner.
  4. Oh, and the advise is good to declutter the closet- out with the old, in with the new!
  5. I am no help here! I have always been a shopping addict at every weight I have been but when my weight is down, I go more crazy! I know (and look forward to) getting all new clothes! But I am currently on a shopping hiatus knowing its a waste to buy big sizes now. Good thing is, I kept all my size 10 from 3 years ago and 12 from two years ago and 14 from sat year so I am now trying to work back down into those sizes!

Yummy soups when on full liquids

I don't ave a trader joes in south Florida but I do enjoy some of the box varieties at target! I love tomato basil as well. I don't enjoy plain tomato soup too much but the kicked up varieties I love. I a, going to whole foods tomorrow and will check their selection as well! I also enjoy butternut squash soup but am not a lover of cream soups. I think you will find better options this time around!
  9. For those of you that are post op for a period long enough to experience notable weight loss, what has been the best outcome for you? For example, can you now ride a rollercoaster or have enough energy to walk and be more active? Is a reduction in some previous pain or health condition (high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc)? Or maybe it's simply enjoying shopping for clothes (or not dreading shopping)... On the flip side, what has been the hardest thing to get use to or that you have had to sacrifice? Maybe it's drinking more socially or just missing a morning Starbucks? Maybe you get more indigestion or certain food really bother you now...
  10. Thank you all for such great responses! Loved reading them!
  11. So I haven't made this yet (start mashies Wednesday) but I love to cook and create different food combinations. As I watched my 4 year old eat hummus, I came up with this recipe idea to make a Greek twist on a pizza. Take either whole wheat pita rounds (you probably could split a pita and use each half to make a thinner crust) or even a low carb tortilla. Spread your favorite hummus on the "crust" however liberal you want (probably 2-3 tablespoons would do the trick). Then sprinkle with a light mozzarella or provolone cheese and add some of your favorite toppings like roasted red peppers (dry off well), Greek olives, peporiccini peppers or artichokes! Toast in oven until cheese melted and crust is crisp. Could garnish with toasted pine nuts! I will try it once I am on solids but thought I would share...
  12. I agree with lipsticklady- don't dwell and don't beat yourself up. I think a cheat treat is ok once in a while as long as ts not a regular thing and you are extra diligent the rest of the week. That's just my opinion. Pre op, you could have easily eaten 2-4 slices plus Snacks possibly and what else might you have been eating the rest of the week? I don't plan to never taste pizza again and if it means a slower weight loss course, I am ok with that as long as I trend down
  13. I actually am only 12 days out but thought it would be interesting to see what highlights and hurdles others have experienced. I am most looking forward to shopping for fashionable clothes as opposed to clothes that hide or distract from my problem areas!
  14. Have you tried the pb2 peanut butter powder? I haven't tried it yet but ordered it. Maybe you could do carnation and pb2 powder to make a choc PB cup flavor? Also carnation has vanilla, have you tried it with orange for a dream cikle taste? Or with berries? Maybe vanilla carnation, vanilla yogurt, almond milk, pumpkin purée and pumpkin pie spice blended with ice?
  15. I haven't gotten a shaker yet and I am still experimenting with different Protein powders but so far, 2 were vile, 1 was good but banana flavored so not one I woud drink daily, 2 were ok but won't order full sizes of them. Been making in the blender with unsweetened almond milk and ice and the consistency is either 50% froth or in the case of chike it's the texture of cake batter and is gooey! So unless I find a really good powder that mixes nice, I will have to go to RTD Protein drinks. I jus bought the muscle milk RTD and the EAS one too at target today so hopefully one of these is right for me. Thanks again
  16. Thanks! And yes, I meant protein drinks
  17. While I feel full and physically satisfied from my liquids, the smell of delicious food drives me crazy and smells so good that I feel frustrated I can't have a taste. I hear some people find the smell off food off putting. What about you?
  18. I like chike brand so far- have tried their banana and it was very good and their chocolate was pretty good. I tried jay Robb chocolate and vanilla and found both to be horrible! Look at the sample trial sizes from the sample thread and order a few different one's to see what you like
  19. Thanks for the feedback. I am so looking forward to skinny that I plan to stay strong.
  20. I am n south Florida too! Davie and work in Weston (2 flanigans -1 by home and work) but had never heard of a rib roll! But ther Mahdi sandwich s delish! My fav pre-surgery. Now I am only 8 days out and still on liquids.

    Swimming Post-Op

I was told 6 weeks but am curious to hear what others were told. Also m procedure was laparoscopic so could be different.
  22. Glad to read this. Just made a new one and its so frothy! I hate the froth too!
  23. I am interested too! I am 5 days out and maxed out at 210 at surgery and am 5'6" and had BMI starting I think of 34 so I would hate to drop 40 and stop since I want to get to 140 pounds. I will try to kick it up when I go in a long stall but it's rad because I travel internationally so I will have to pack tons of products with me since most countries don't even know what skim milk is! Eating out 3 meals a day is a killer!

    Food porn!

Yeah totally! I am such a foodie too! I travel the world for work and love trying new foods and searching out awesome culinary experiences! Cooking shows, contests, travel food shows, etc have always been something I loved to watch. I am only 5 days out and still on clear liquid so I can't watch them yet- it feels like torture!
  25. What about an angular bob that has some really nice sharp lines so it's a little longer in the front and maybe some jagged bangs (not sure how to describe them but the bangs that are not completely straight across and aren't thick). I have curly hair so it won't look good short because it gets too puffy and wide
