You said that so nicely.. And double nickel for me is just a number! I just don't want to wake up and find this has been just a dream.

Let's see I was sleeved 6/19/13 no major problems on my 6 mth check up, my blood work was perfect. Doctor said I'm no longer in the obese category, I hide a lot of it in my height I'm 6'5 but it's been so long that I can't even remember weighing 247. Now we have a cold snap in Louisville we are going from 88° to 40° possible snow.. I just bought sleeveless shirts to show off my arms but oh well ... Lol.. Get out and enjoy people ????????????????????????????????????????

Omg!! I will be hitting the age of 55 in June.. Im shocked at that number cause I feel much more young. I'm at 247 now, that better than saying 478 lbs, I haven't hit my goal weight yet but if I don't ..oh well I feel so good now that I wouldn't be disappointed at all. I feel like Im 17. Just got back from a 20 mile bike ride and soon I will be taking my Jack Russell for a walk! ..life is good enjoy it!

Welcome! We were sleeved the same day! Hang in there your looking good! Just keep up what your doing and you will be fine!, some just take a little longer on weight loss than others. This is what i do, I log everything i eat on MyFitnessPal , it can range from anywhere from 800-1600 calories a day. Make sure you don't miss no meals, in between meals at time 2 hrs later from my last meal I ate I will have a protein drink or a cup of no fat milk. It helps keep the metabolism going where you will burn more calories/fat. I have to remind myself too that my weight wasn't put on overnight . If your not losing weight your losing girth, make sure your drinking more than plenty of water. At time after I went on a 20 mile bike ride, then walk 5 miles that day only to be disappointed with a 4lb gain. But at the end of that week i will lose that plus a pound. I try to eat like they say a 1/2 cup but there are days I ate 3 cups ( chili) but my Calories was around 1400 for the day. There has been 1 day a week I ate over 1600 but I get back on track because I exercise every day. I don't count things like push mowing the lawn etc etc, i only count when i go speed walking or bike riding. I do not deduct that from what i ate, i go only by what passes through my lips. I still battle food binges from time to time cause Im a food addict, Im getting better on that and its starting to show. I may not hit my goal weight of 220 ( Doctor thinks I have way to much muscle) but I weigh now 247lbs at 6'5, if I don't ever lose another pound I will be so happy still, that I don't weigh 478lbs anymore. Hang in there go to a support group meetings as much as you can and enjoy life!

I still have at least 20 to lose for my personal goal. I too have 20lbs to lose, but I think my body is catching up with the loss, losing girth. I noticed on my belt i need to make another notch, so I know Im still losing in someway. I find myself now wanting to go to public places more. I was in Walmart and the cashier laughed at me looking at my chest where the sag is still there with some sort of fat there and it hangs like boobs... I felt my face get flushed a little but I just smiled and laughed with her and said hey , I lost a lot of weight and it's still coming off, I didn't make no reference on her being over weight but just said I feel better everyday and things like that I just take it with a grain of salt and move on!
-
I know we all want that and we been through stalls but it's part of the losing process, at times I think I should of lost 10lbs and it was only ounces but I got into a 36in waist size pants tight but I got into it. So I have to tell myself at times that I didn't put the weight on overnight . And I read all the post on here to keep me inline with positive thinking of the great peoples post on here. And I'm loving life being able to buy off the rack

Your doing fine and looking fantastic! Give your body time to catch up as in girth loss. It will come off!! But you look great!!
-
Well I'm down another 2lbs, I know it don't sound like much but I will take that than a gain any day. I'm feeling more confident on my eating and portions control. I no longer have that constant hungry feeling I had before but I still get hungry when time to eat. I'm not sure if I will have a 200 mile month this month; I only have 117 miles mostly walking but a few mountain bike rides in there. Weather had a big play but I'm making no excuses. I'm just so thankful but yet afraid in a way that it's all a dream and I might wake up. But each morning when I awake, I have a smile.. And each one of you I have so much to be thankful for and I love you all!

My PRAYERS are for your Mom and You and your family. I went through this with my Mother 5 yrs ago, worst part of my life but made me my strongest, Hospice is great they make sure she will be comfortable. You have to make sure you get your protein in, I know during this time it's the last thing on your mind but we have to take care of our selfs in order to take care of others. May God Bless you and keep you in his arms during this time.

That's so great to hear!! Your a inspiration to all of us, I'm trying to break a 200 mile walk for this month, I have 88 miles so far. I'm at 254.6 that's sounds better than 478lbs. My goal is 240 not sure if I will hit that but I'm feeling soooo good, it was 6/19/13 I was sleeved. If I stopped losing weight I'm please what it has done for me so far and it wouldn't be a disappointment after all I'm 6'6 but I'm sure I will hit my goal. Life is good! Thanks for replying
