Vitamin D was not an issue. I am a scheduled for the sleeve on November 4th!
-
I naturally have a low vit d level. When it came back low during the pre work, they sent me to my primary doctor and she put me on prescription pill, I think it is 50k mil grams once a week. I need to go back and get retested. I don't think it will delay your surgery. But I meet my surgeon on Wednesday, so I will let you know if I am wrong.

My Nut said I could have coffee right after surgery, just need to watch the temperature because that could bother the sleeve. -
Oh i miss you, Mr Caffeine
NYVSGguy replied to bnape29's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told to reduce my caffeine to one cup after surgery, but need to give up carbonated drinks for good. I am still working on that, might just need to go cold turkey. -
no drinking BEFORE meals?
NYVSGguy replied to angry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been told that you can't drink until 30 minutes after a meal. This is has been hard for me to get used to, as usually drink a lot during meals. -
Has anyone had to for for an empty stomach test? I was just told that my gastro doctor wants me to have this test before he will clear me for surgery. My endoscopy came back fine, so not sure why I need this as well. They said it could take up to 6 hours!

Did he have the sleeve? Just curious if I did have that if it would delay my surgery.
-
I am assuming he did see something even though he said everything he saw was fine during the scope. If there is something that could be wrong, rather find out now.

I have to go there in the eat eggs injected with dye (yum) and then they take xrays every 15 minutes to see how long the food takes to go from my stomach to the small intestine. I guess some people this can take a while and have some reflux from the intestine?

I love Teavanna, never thought about having that during the liquid diet. I am still a few months away from my liquid diet, but will keep that in mind. I have my first Nutritionist appointment and Psyc this morning. Good with your diet and sleeve!

Jaymar, how did your sleeve go? How are you feeling? I am new in the process at Danbury, I am hoping to be sleeved in November by Dr. Choi. I am waiting for my first nut appointment. -

10 things I can't wait to do
NYVSGguy replied to Dualstarr's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
These lists are great. There are so many things that I looking forward too, here are few: 1. Be able to keep up with my little girls. 2. Not be tired walking my daughter to the bus. 3. Being a healthier role model for my kids. 4. Stop using the seatbelt extension I had to get for my new car. 5. Fit on one airplane seat. 6. Not getting tired putting on socks and shoes. 7. Running again. 8. Stop feeling like if I stay on the same path, someone else will be raising my kids. 9. Stop wanting to always want rest instead of getting out and living life. 10. Be able to fit into nice cloths. I know we all will be smiling once we finish the journey and our lists become reality. Good luck to all! -
I just got my vitamins in the mail today. I just tried Centrum chewables, orange flavored. They were not too bad, had a little bit of an after taste. Also brought chewable Caltrate with Vitamin D. That tasted much better then the Centrum.
