I like the Premier Protein shakes. They taste good and have 30 grams of protein.

I made this for dinner tonight. Very good. I thought it was a little salty, but this a keeper. Next time going to try some of the changes people suggested.

Nov 2013 Sleevers Progress So Far...
NYVSGguy replied to soonerorlater's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved on 11/4 and have lost almost 40 pounds, which includes 10 pounds from pre op. I do get hungry sometimes, but think it is because I need to drink more water. Also need to get bettee at tracking my fluids and protein. This has been the best decision I have made. I already feel so much better already! -
Has anyone tried to make any of the cupcake recipes with phyllo dough instead of the wanton wrappers? I could not find the wanton wrappers so was wondering if the dough would be a good alternative.

Is that a picture of the spaghetti squash? It looks really a good. I have been looking for a good recipe for the spaghetti squash.

Coffee Question.,,
NYVSGguy replied to DirtyHarriett's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was allowed coffee as soon I got home. I was sleeved 2 weeks ago and have only had a few cups so far. I don't seem enjoy it as much as I used too. -
I will be on pureed foods starting tomorrow, any good suggestions on some pureed food you have enjoyed.

My wife wanted me to wait until after the holidays. I have enjoyed overeating all of these years that I decided now is the best time for to get sleeved. I will still enjoy the holidays, but with smaller portions. Insurance helped my decision too, I also met my deductible this year, so it made sense to have the surgery before next year. I was sleeved on 11/4.

Been Bad On Pre-Op Diet!
NYVSGguy replied to #hashTag#'s topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
My surgeon only required a liquid diet the day before my surgery and nothing after midnight. I had no issues being sleeved. -

NYVSGguy replied to meaganchuckran's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am on clear liquids for the first three weeks. This weekend I get to start pureed foods for a week, then the week after that I can start soft chopped foods. -
Trip To Disney Question...
NYVSGguy replied to gastricsleever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I went to Disney two weeks prior to surgery and I weighed 345. In the Magic Kingdom I did not have any issues but for the rides that I thought I might have an issue I asked before I got on any ride if I would have any issues fitting. I would know before I got on the rides. I didn't go to Epcot this time, but I don't think you will have any issues. Have a great time. -
November buddies where are you?
NYVSGguy replied to soonerorlater's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Just checked into the hospital. I am surprised how calm I am, for now anyway. Good luck to all of my fellow sleevers today! See you on the loser's side. -

My surgery is on the 4th. While I am nervous, I trying to really focus on all of the postive changes that will result from the surgery. Good luck on Friday! -
I just got a call that my insurance company approved my surgery, and I am scheduled to be sleeved next Monday! I am so excited! Hard to believe it is only a week away.

Just got back from my gastro appointment and the doctor said that after testing it shows that I have gastroparesis, although I show no signs or symptoms of it, which he says is very unusual. He said he needs to speak to my surgeon prior to giving me clearance. Does anyone else have this and were you still to have the sleeve? I am hoping this isn't an issue. I meet with the surgeon next week, so I am hoping for good news.

Great job! I get sleeved in 3 weeks and these pics really give me something to look forward. Every day brings this dream closer to reality. Keep up the good work!
