Hey, you are not alone by any means..... I cried when I went through this post it hit me right where I am... I have found that if I say It out loud, I say to my Husband, All I think about is food... And I have for many years not really noticing it. Expecially around PMS time, I can eat sooooo much and it's never enough!!! Sometimes, I say out loud this is not what healthy people eat.. Actually, I say that A LOT!! I'm still crying, It hurts... I knew this wasn't going to be easy but sometimes I just feel alone, and reading this has lifted me in ways that you will never know.. Thank you for putting your feelings out there for us!!! This is why this site is so vital for me.. Tara

No pain, it is a tad sore if I press in the area of my port but, by no means hurts.. Please let me know what your Dr. says... Your describing your port area, Maybe it's tugging???? Did you get a hold of Dr. Ortiz??? Any feaver??? Your preaty much eating what I'm eating, I wish you lived closer, I would go to the Dr. with you.. PLEASE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU ARE DOING?? Boy, I'm glad this was not my first day checking out this site, I would have never read further to see all the great hope this site gives to people looking for answers about the "BAND". Can someone help me, is this site for Lap-Band help, or something elese?? I was very happy here with all the help and chat.... Now I'm a tad confused..

Hey, I was banded 8 days ago and It sounds like your port.. Are you staying to the diet to a T?? If it keeps getting worse and not any better please call you local Dr. they may want you on an antibiotic.. I was on one from my surgen untill yesterday. Thank you, I am so excited I have already lost 8 lbs.. what a plus!!! Duwane if you are still out there why have you not faxed the paper work to Anna proving this damage was done??? I think it would help your case. I think it is real important to do as your Dr. says and maybe you should of stayed so that he could have helped you... There is no contact by you to him, I know that if this happened to me I would have gone down there and taken care of this matter.. Again, there is risk with surgery but if you have problems you need to let your Dr. know so he can help... Heck look at how many pt.'s die with the gastric bypass 1 in 50 that's done in the USA... Anyway, Anna who spoke to your wife is waiting for those papers, if you send them you can have a case to get your money back... I still think Dr. Del La Garza and his staff rocks!!!

Well I did it.. Things went very well!!! I would sent my mother to Dr Del La Garza anytime he was A wonderful Dr. The staff there was the best too!!!

I was just banded on Friday 2/18 and I can maybe only have 2 containers that have 20oz in them....It's not much but I have lost 5lbs since last thursday so I guess it's not all bad!!!

I was just banded and the cost was 8,000. This included my airline ticket and hotel stay before and after which by the way was right at the hospital so I never had to leave . It also includes fills for 2 years you just have to pay for your own air fair......Oh, and it included talking to a nutritionist and head Dr. for 2 years as well... They are wonderful and speak english...Good luck.. Tara

Hello.... Anybody out there, I'm new to posting on here but I just wanted someone to know that I got my band on 2/18/05 in Monterrey MX. With DR.DEL LA GARZA, and it went better then I could ever hoped for.. I had to go alone that was the hard part but, I'm home and as of yesterday afternoon off of the pain meds and onto a new life... Something funny happend to me today I herd My stomic growl... I think it's been years since I heard that!!! Funny, I welcomed it as if I'm in controll not you!!!!!! Thank you for all your old posts you will never know how helpful they have been to me!!!

Can you get any Slimfast out there???? It has a balance of what you need and now they come with less sugar... I drove yesterday, two days after being banded it was not real smooth but it worked.. I hope you feeling better soon... Are you on an antibiotic??? Tara

Hey Estela I'm back and a "BANDED" girl now!!! Everything went great and I did not have an old guy next to me with a coke but let me tell you walking through the airport to catch my conection I had to pass pizza, ice cream, starbucks, sub shops ect. ect.ect.ect. I was feeling a tad depressed at that moment!!! I called my Husband and he said hey it's not just because you have the band and now you can't, It's that way anytime you try to diet!!! Sometimes that man saves my life, He has been my rock through this... Anyways, I have to look up that number for you and hey I asked my surgon about doing it without and he said that he would not!!! It's like guessing??? I hope to hear back from you real soon... Tara
