I look forward to your next post. You are a courageous woman - even though you didn't feel it. God bless and thanks for sharing. -
Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?

My surgery is Thursday. Tomorrow I go to all liquids. Up to now, it's been Protein shakes for 2 meals and a sensible meal for either lunch or dinner. I've done a lot of physical, mental, and spiritual preparation. I am grateful to the plus-size stores that allowed me to express my sense of style. I won't miss shopping there but they were there when I needed them. For that, I am grateful. I don't regret anything to this point. Truthfully, I enjoyed every fast food meal, cookie, and loaf of fresh bread. But it's time to move to a better model for good health. I welcome it with no regrets. I had a wonderful time getting to this point. I am at peace with the decision to get sleeved and make room for changes that will hopefully allow me to enjoy this wonderful life a little longer with the man I love. He was sleeved last month and is doing amazingly well. Onto the next chapters......always exciting to find out what we'll write on the next page. I wish all if us making this step a good experience. May God hold all of us in the palm of his hand.

Ready to go with no regrets

Good luck, PaulaJ! I'll say a prayer for your speedy recovery. -
I will be sleeved on the 18th. Eager to move into new model for healthy living. Understand the phased approach to introducing foods to new tummy. For those who are now not restricted, how are you able to enjoy a wide variety of fresh produce?

question about fresh vegetables and fruit
AnnMarie1957 replied to AnnMarie1957's topic in Food and Nutrition
Thanks! That is my biggest concern. I crave fresh fruits and veggies more than anything else now that I've detoxed away from salty/crunchy junk food. So sad to have waited so long to realize real food tastes so much better than junk. Better late than never. -
What do you want to do?

I am looking forward to not thinking about my size as life unfolds. Whether a theater seat or extension belts or carnival rides or tying my shoes or shopping for clothes. I'm looking forward to taking my size out of all equations. -
Sorry your PCP is oblivious. My husband was sleeved in June. Our PCP was great about taking care if the 6 months of records our insurance company required. Scheduled us in the same appointment time so we didn't have 2 co-pays just for weigh-ins.

I had a great experience with my PCP. He had been nothing but supportive. Mayo surgery is set for 7/18.

Energy levels 3 months after sleeve
AnnMarie1957 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband was sleeved 14 days ago. I'll be sleeved in 3 weeks. Our question is will we have good energy levels after healing, say 3 months out. We both have more than 100 lbs to lose. Anyone have experience/info from 3 months out? -
What is energy level like 3 months post sleeve?

My husband and I are having surgery this month. I am a foodie who likes variety. Can I expect to enjoy a variety of healthy foods or is it severely restricted?

Thanks for the information. Getting close to surgery date and fighting a mean case of cold feet.
