I was banded February 3rd...by the looks of everyone you all are doing great!!! I wish I was doing as well...I have lost only 30lbs but the last two months I ahve started working out...I hope to lose 20 by the end of December....which would leave me 30lbs before reaching my goal...I have had 6 fills since then...(I am in Kuwait got my surgery done here) I know where I am lacking I drink many of my calories but reading about everyone else has got me motivated to do get back on track...

Looking to speak with people who was banded the same day I was to compare notes and encourage one another.

I am 30 days Post Op I had 10 days of clear liquids, 10 days of full liquids, 10 days of mushy and on day 31 my first fill after my doctor filled me he said I had to go on 10 of full liquids...WT....!!! :cursing:I haven't had a decent meal in over a month!! :angry:Anyone else experienced something similiar...please help I am two minutes from driving to the nearest BURGER KING

I thought I was crazy so I called to be sure...and yes they said 10 days of liquids..that is insane...!! My hair is falling out, I can sleep for weeks, I am taking a multivitamin, liquid iron, B6 and B12 and I am almost scared to eat something solid since I have no earthly idea what will happen! I am going to try something today maybe scrambled eggs and scrambled salmon and have small bites...I have only lost 13 lbs since being banded on the 3 of February and I just feel like I am failing somehow and I do not know how to jump start or start over...thanks for sharing your info with me and I look forward to any suggestions...I am gonna finish crying now...

Hello my fellow bandsters! I must admit after reading the postings, I am glad I started this thread you guys have been such a great support for me. :hurray: I went back to work on Monday and like many of you I AM EXHAUSTED!! I cried today because I WANT FOOD!!! :smile: I swear I just want something in my mouth just to chew....the belching is out of control and boy is it loud and embarassing. I still have the pain under my left breast and I spoke to my doctor. He said he had to place air in my body to lift the stomach and liver...he said it is taking time to readjust and get back in the same place... I am still on the Clear liquids until Saturday and THEN I go to full liquids for 10 days and THEN I go to mushy food and THEN I go regular food...my congratuations to those who are already on Protein shakes, mushy foods, etc... I envy you...the great thing so far is I have lost 7lbs but it is expected...all I have had is LIQUIDS!!! My friend recently gave me some "traveling jeans" that she bought before she had her lap band...a couple of months later...they were too big...she has given them to me and they are too small...I hope in a few months...I will be giving them to another bandster...let me know if you want them I will ship them to you and you can keep the tradition going...keep me updated on your progress...Be Blessed!

Today is my birthday and I would love to have some chocolate cake...Lordy Lordy look whose 40:tongue2: However next year for the sweet 41 I know my celebration will be well worth it because I will fit into some skinny jeans..:cursing:

Hang in there! I am very sore under my left breast and I do not know why I do not see an incision but I am wondering what could it be...they removed a gall stone from my gall bladder but I am okay except for the soreness and the tenderness under my left breast

Try not to do too much too soon....right now I am not even attempting to obtain protein...I am on clear liquids for 10 days...consult your physician if you are still queasy and consider taking clear broths for a while...also be sure to crush those pills very well....gas x may help if you have gas...Keep us updated on how you feel....give yourself a week or two...I am still pretty sore also...I got banded in Kuwait...but a year from now we will look back and know it was well worth it:thumbup:

LOL...Hang in there...my husband is visiting the U.S. and he has delegated our neighbor to watch me...we are in an apt and he can hear when my door shuts...I snuck out today to go to the grocery store because I am like you going stir crazy....anyway he caught me sneaking back in :cursing:

I got banded here in Kuwait and for the first 10 days they have me on Clear liquids and have not mentioned protein at all... I am suppose to see the doctor on Thursday and I think I will bring it up however my diet looks like this: 10 days clear liquid 10 days full liquids 10 days puree food and then I go to regular food in very small portions and making sure they are chewed very well... I have been eating ramen noodles minus the noodles, Water, tea, apple juice and popsicles...let me know how yours is going..

so far so good I have alot of gas and some pain under my left breast....still walking pretty slow how about you? Did you take time from work and if so when do you plan to return? Hope to hear from you soon...

I DID IT!! I am banded....feeling comfortable...little gas..but nothing unbearable...to those getting theirs this month...good luck...it will be a piece of cake...

I wanted to know about the liver pills.... My liver is enlarged (with fat surrounding it) how long have you been on the pills and are they helping... I am in Kuwait and I don't think my doctor is providing me with enough information about this...he suggest that I have the balloon inserted...maybe I should postpone my surgery...it is scheduled for 3 Feb

I have had a minor setback with an enlarged liver. Trying to determine if i want to go through with the surgery. Doctor said I may need a balloon for 3 months. Anyone else have this. He also said he can try to place the band but if he can't get it then he will do the baloon. i confused and my surgery is Tuedsay February 3...Please advise..:cursing:

Hi needless to say I am nervous but I have been in Kuwait since 2005 and know multiple people who have had the surgery successfully. I am excited but I am looking for supporters who can help me through this! :thumbup: I currently weight 235lbs I am 5"3 and I work as a contractor here. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I am being banded February 3 in Kuwait!:biggrin: my experience here is going to be quite different I think..for example I didn't need the psych eval and sleep apnea I would love to compare and contrast with other bandsters.. let me know what you think:biggrin:

I wish my friends truly understand but I am anxious and embarassed to tell them that I am having weight loss surgery I feel like I let myself down by not being able to do it the "right way" let me know what date they schedule you for surgery :biggrin:

Keep me updated on your progress. They have not placed me on any type of preop diet it is more like "See you on the 3rd"

hello everyone, I just found out my Aetna insurance does not cover lap band although my doctor said that I was a excellent candidate and the band was needed. Does anyone know if there is an appeal process for this? any help would be great.
