    Need some tips for gallstones!

Up until a week before the surgery, I thought it was severe gas pains. Then I was convinced it was constipation. I would lay down or recline and hope it got better. Tylenol doesn't help but rest often did. If you suspect gall bladder problems, get to the doctor ASAP. It is common for folks with rapid weight loss. I feel much better already

    Need some tips for gallstones!

Same thing here. I had a few issues pre-surgery (which I now know were gall bladder issues) and no symptoms for the 6 weeks post surgery while I was on puréed and soft foods. But the pains returned when I was given the go ahead to eat normal foods. Surgery 5/22/13 and I had my gall bladder removed last Friday 8/16. Feeling much better already except for surgery discomfort. Good luck to everyone

    May sleevers results so far!

Surgery date 5/22 Pre-op weight 364.5 Day of surgery 347 Weight today 322 Loss 42.5 So happy with the sleeve! Have had no intolerances with very little pain or discomfort and have followed doctor's orders to a "T". Started weight training at the gym last week and will start Water aerobics next week. Had my 6 week post-op appt on the day following a 3 day stall only to discover that I wasn't eating enough. I was getting the Protein and water in but only 600 calories. Nutritionist explained how important it is to take in calories with appropriate carbs and fat to loose weight. After adding whole wheat flat-out bread, whole wheat pitas and whole wheat skinny buns to my diet (along with veges) and increasing calories to 1,000 I have lost 6 lbs this week. I don't expect it to continue at that rate but it sure feels good! My husband was sleeved 3 wks after me and he is doing well. I will be glad when we can eat the same things though! Good luck to all. Keep the motivation coming!

    size 8's!

Congratulations, that is amazing!! I cannot even fathom how great you feel. Our numbers (beginning weight and goal) are similar, I was sleeved on 5/22 and have lost 31.5 lbs since the start of my pre-surg diet. The day to day loss seems small but when I look back I am pleased with the total. I already know I made a good decision. My husband was sleeved last Wednesday. We are excited to be on this journey together. CONGRATS again!
