Very true, unless one become two! ...and so on Tread softly OP.

Good job taking the time to figure that out instead of just blowing a gasket, moaning and complaining and eating until your sick. It sounds like you've got your mind set right to go about this surgery, best of luck to you.

Well if it tastes bad, it has to be good for ya right? lol

I like to ride bicycles on long trips. I like to mix a little noxema and vaseline together. Lasts for a long time, pretty inexpensive and no chaffing. At least give it a try. It doesnt take much. Good luck

Awesome, I will go subscribe! Thanks. -
The only kind i dislike, is Stevia. For some reason it is horrible, most others I can handle, even agava or whatever it is called.

It all was a breeze. I had upper and lower endoscopies. The prep was the only hard part.

New DM onset - a1c is 7.8 - please help

Yes, there is a high probability that your surgery will be canceled. I am a medical coder, and I just reviewed a chart yesterday where a gentleman had only a high HgbA1c, and all he was going for was some orthopedic joint work. They canceled his surgery AND would not even consider rescheduling it for 6 weeks. If you want your surgery, take the meds and get your labs under control. The last thing you want is to be all happy going in to surgery only to have it canceled and postponed for weeks. good luck to you. -
Why you chose the sleeve
shoopaie replied to corcor85's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My OPINION: I was also stuck on the band for the sole purpose of the ability to reverse if necessary and be ause it was the least invasive. The truth is that the band works both short term and long term. However, complications can and most LIKELY will for the rest of your life. Think about this, the band will be in your body for the next 50 yrs of your life or so depending on how long you live. That is a long time for your body to up and decide to renect it at anytime. That is also a long time and many doctor appts to maintain it. I havent heard of many folks who have kept it in for over 10 yrs without a significant problem. Note that i havent read everyones story i am telling you what changed my mind. For the sleeve, it seemed i vasive but i got yo thinking that we have appendix removed, gallbladder, parts of lungs, colon and etc and end up being fine. With the sleeve, no maintanence can mean saving money. I know they take out a PART of your stomach but there is still stomach there when they are done. I wrote this on phone with fat fingers, sorry for typos. -

i agree with what everyone else said. I even knew of folks who were allowed one weight watchers meal every day before surgery, so one slip up couldn't mess everything up. Good luck to you, you got this. I will add though, I was told after about day 3 or 4 that the liquid phase was relatively easy to do and most were used to it.

This is going to turn out great for ya. Couple days and we'll be hearing the success stories, and NSV's. -
I've read that can happen. Most folks have no hunger feeling, while others do. It's a mystery really.

Did anyone use FMLA to do their surgery? Were you required to have x amount of pto or pho before you were able to use it?

Thats the whole reason we call them nuts!
