    4 days post op

Im also 4 days post op. I have had one basically after every time that I have soup or anything other than water!!! Did your doctor say it was ok to have oatmeal? It is on my list for full liquids to begin today and I made it runny, but am now worried I was suppose to like puree the oats.......Do either of you have any thoughts? I had an oz of oats and water and felt very full very fast, very different from solid liquids. I hope I did not hurt my sleeve.....Just confused!!
  4. I was self pay and it was $13,000 total for everything in Dallas, Texas.

    Honestly..

Mine tasted like a lemony oil nasty something that I cannot even describe. I had it the morning after my surgery and that is where they took my NG tube out! I know some people do not get those but my doctor uses them to prevent vomiting and dry heaving after surgery. But I did start gagging and spitting up that leak test drink!

    2 days out and blah...

I am also 2 days post gastric sleeve right now and was able to come today. I only had gas cramps the first day but immediantly started getting up and walking every hour once I was put in a hospital room. The quicker I was up and moving and rolling over the gas moved and the pain went away. I feel fine, but have a drain tube coming out of my left side until next Thursday for my one week post op appointment. I am not hungry and not nauseated at all and barely even used my morphine pump while at the hospital. We will see how this afternoon and tomorrow go.

    tomorrow's the big day!

Well I got sick with the flu Saturday and Sunday so Monday was actually day 3 for me which should have been day 1 for a 3 day per-op diet, but it has not been that bad until I put my twin babies to bed and I just want to eat LOL

    tomorrow's the big day!

Im getting butterflies in my stomach...What about you? Yes, he said I will have it for 24 hours and it goes through your nose down into your stomach to drain all fluids for nausea and so you do not wake up from surgery dry heaving or vomiting from anesthesia. I have heard they are uncomfortable.......But I am excited. How long has your pre-op diet been? Mine has been for 5 days!

    Newbie

I was banded also in 2006 lost about 100 lbs the first year looked great at 180...I have since after also so life changing events and loosening my band and taking all the fluid out for a year gained 80 lbs over the years. I am set for the sleeve tomorrow. My doctor said pain wise it is no different than how you felt after the lap band surgery. I just remember being sore! We will see in the morning I guess after my revision to sleeve!
