My doc told me yesterday about the ups nd downs of all 3. Gave stats for all 3. Stated that altho he thinks the gbs is better than the other two, its all what the patient makes of them, bc all they do is provide the surgery, we still have to work at it. He said, he gives me the facts nd its up to me to put the rest of the work in by makn life long changes. I knew I wanted the sleeve and told him so. And no matter my question, he provided answers for all 3 procedures. It was a gr8 first visit nd like the postops say, its a tool nd u have to b committed to the changes. I can't wait to be on the same road to being healthy nd lookn even more fab, just less of me:) gla!!

Well no matter what, U WILL SUCCEED, U CAN DO THIS, ND WE R BEHIND YOU!! altho som people r in the medical nd May be fab at their Jobs, not all have the personality to give more than what their jobs require. With that said, don't let their lack of support or enthusiasm bring u down, or make u give up. This is YOUR NEW LIFE, I'm sure no regrets, so instead of taking their rudeness personally, use it to fuel your steps going forward, show urself that regaredless, u can do this, u did the hard part of getting it done, and it'll be work in progress here on out. We r here for u, so don't hesitate to post. No, I'm not sleeved yet, still hoop jumping, but one day, Lord willing, I will b, nd from what I've been reading here, ik I'll nvr b alone, nd neither R u. You made me grin sooo big from ur excitement! Congrats nd keep up the good work nd thx for sharing w us ur success and little secret (wink wink lol). I can't wait to share my own experience:) .I'm still hoop jumping, 1st surgeons visit tomorrow. But still months sway, military:( 4-5 mth waiting period). So sad, bc I've been super excited to get it done. Oh well, I might get lucky w an earlier date, who knows. But again, gratz nd keep enjoyn ur journey!! Dee Dee

You're the first person that I've read, to say, they still like water!! This excites me bc I love water, nd I've read tons of posts, nd they all say the same thing...their taste for water changed, it tastes like metal or they simply hate it! I was sad at the thought of disliking water. Now after reading ur post, I'm thankful that there's hope for me, after the surgery::) Ty nd yes, ik everyone is different,but literally, ur the first person to say that u still love it.

As my name implies...I want to wear jeans again, ive nit worn them in over 13 yrs, I'm tired of elastics, I want to wear single digits and I don't want to go on bp meds nd cholesterol meds that my doc says I need. I want the whole entire package!! I already love myself, just not what ive done to myself and now I'm going to try and do something good for myself, so that I can SEE THE GOOD on the outside as well:). I just said a prayer for your mom. As they've said, u did good getting her help now, nd u need to help urself in case she needs u ltr. Don't feel guilty bc ur mom wudn want u too nd she'd feel bad knowing that u do. Just hang n there nd again, many prayers ur way:) Dee Dee

And I was NOT sayn it to be mean, I have read all of her posts and she sounds miserable, n then to say she would die, I posted from what she has been sayn, not anything more. Tsk, yes, bc the therapy is to help so that we don't do it and end up hurting ourselves afterwards, and her posts are all sad n filled w misery regret...I'm not going to bite my tongue if Im reading what weve all read concerning how to help her, so if that offends you, well, it wasn't meant to u...ive had suicide in my family and I DO NOT TAKE IT LIGHTLY!! have I ever said I'd die n not mean yet, yes, but it wasn't preceded by self hate. I'll stop now bc I was addressing what she said. Thx for your opinion. Ps she should continue posting IF its helpful but of the RE ive read, its not helping n the way she needs, which is y I said what I did. Prof help.
