60 days left until I get sleeved. I have 1 more nutritional visit, psych and regular doc visit. Went through insurance benefit verification. Just waiting to begin my transformation. I feel like I have researched my doctor good enough. I really just wonder why some people don't loose?

What was your starting weight? -
This is good...I think I am going to start

I think it's great what your doing. I don't like when other negative people input their opinions. I think this is good because the surgery is the tool and dieting is what makes it work. You can gain your weight back by eating the wrong foods. At least your smart enough to get those natural nutrients..

Just want to know who your doctor is

Anyone else getting sleeved in August?
JennyCat replied to Living4Me's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm sad. The plan was to have my surgery at the end of Aug being that this weekend is my last week of my 6 months of nutrition. Unfortunately, my dr wasn't able to get me in for a consult because he is on vacation...so I must wait in Aug..it's my fault because I switched 4 docs since him. I actually have another doc to go see on the 23rd but I'm cancelling because I did more reviews...so I will just wait. -

There is nothing wrong about being obsessed with having the surgery. It's the beginning of a whole new sexier and healthy lifestyle. Just to be able to not have to wear jackets in the summer time or have stuff yourself in spanx. We have something to look forward to. Not being the fat friend that everyone lies to you and say you look good in your clothes and you don't. I am so happy to be near the end of the process. I'm sure once my paperwork gets submitted I will be jumping through the roof. -

My overall wait has just been extended from 6 months to 7 months because my doc has a conflicting schedule. So instead of getting sleeved in aug it looks like I'm getting sleeved in the early weeks of september -
I have heard of dr Scarborough

I hear many stories that people had to get a revision surgery. Is it possible that the doctor didn't perform the surgery correct to give you the best results or did the patient not follow the diet directions properly. I guess my question is it possible for the doctor to be the reason for you not having success.

Whose fault? The doctor or Patient?

Great information...that means that I made the right choice to change surgeons. I know 2 people with the same doc that didn't loose any weight but they had the bypass.. -
My file gets submitted to insurance in 13 days around July 18...then I hear it takes 10 days to get approved and then I will get to to do 2 weeks pre op diet then off to have surgery. So far I have a physician visit left, psych and a weight watchers diet left and I'm done.
